**Essential Functions**
+ Supports new commissioning efforts by performing design reviews, report reviews, and item follow-up to ensure that new systems are started efficiently.
+ Performs Building Automation System (BAS ) programming to implement energy management strategies
+ Performs Test and Balance functions to evaluate the current condition of buildings in support of the Continuous and Retro-Commissioning efforts.

- The Senior Energy Specialist will assist manufacturing facilities in developing and implementing projects to optimize energy used by buildings, processes, machines, and equipment to minimize energy loss and reduce energy waste during production and non- production periods. The position will develop energy efficiency and conservation initiatives and monitor energy compliance. Will also assist the manufacturing engineering organization in developing energy efficient standards, initiatives, and specifications, so that new facilities, processes, machines, and equipment will use less energy than those they replace. This position will help support the 2030 carbon emissions reduction goal in supporting manufacturing plants and development of carbon neutrality roadmaps. 
 
- Assist the manufacturing engineering and global SPW Energy Domain organization to develop and deploy energy efficiency standards, initiatives, and specifications 
 
- Manage routine energy reports and regular monitoring of energy consumption and non-production curtailment results 
 
- Analyze plant energy KPI progress and communicate this information to plant, regional and global leadership 
 
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the plant's energy management system to meet ISO 50001 and SPW Energy Domain requirements.

POSITION PURPOSE:

Performs highly skilled technical work involving maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and building automation systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

**Responsibilities**
Responsible for the installation, test, and balance energy management systems as they pertain to the installation of controls for refrigeration systems, HVAC-R , and lighting in a grocery store and/or cold storage distribution format. Repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.
+ Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.
+ Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff. Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes regarding customer specific documentation and closeout processes.
+ Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems. Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
+ Have thorough knowledge of various energy management systems, heating, ventilation systems, air conditioning and refrigeration systems;( Novar, Danfoss, and Emerson CPC).
+ Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
+ Think analytically and independently, install, program, and troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair control systems for HVAC-R, refrigeration, and lighting controls in a grocery store and cold storage atmosphere.
+ Use and maintenance of trade specific materials, tools, instrumentation, and equipment used during the installation of EMS systems.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

**Qualifications**
**Formal Education Requirement:**
**Required Level:** High School OR Ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Preferred level:** Technical Degree
**Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:** 5 year of exp with HS/GED
**Additional Information:**
+ EPA 608 Certification preferred but not required.
+ Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record.
