Job Description
Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced School Psychologist that is certified in the state of practice. This is a contract, full time position.
Responsibilities
- Must work well with students, parents, and administrators.
- Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Develops functional assessments and behavior intervention plans that incorporate instructional methodologies for staff.
- Attend IEP meetings as necessary and provide related behavioral information.
Minimum Requirements include:
- Completion of a Master's degree or higher in school psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychologist endorsement.
- Experience in an elementary school program is preferred.
- Ability to work in a consulting environment.
- Experience with special education mandates.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- BCBA Certification preferred.

School Psychologist Key Responsibilities:
- Psychological Assessments : Conduct comprehensive evaluations of cognitive, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral functioning using a range of standardized tests.
- IEP & 504 Plan Support : Develop and consult on individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans based on assessment data. Create evidence-based interventions and strategies.
- Crisis Support & Training : Provide crisis support during emergencies and offer training to school staff on mental health, behavior management, and instructional strategies.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate, confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress. Prepare detailed reports for IEP meetings, evaluations, and other necessary documentation.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Actively participate in team meetings to review and plan student interventions.
School Psychologist Qualifications:
- Certification: Department of Education School Psychologist Certification in the state where services are delivered
- Background Check: Department of Justice/FBI Background Check (or equivalent state or national fingerprint clearance).
- TB Clearance
- Eligibility to Work: Eligibility to work in the US
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
- Prior experience working as a school psychologist
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
