The Opportunity
The School Operations Manager is a school based position that assists with all finance and operations functions necessary to run a high-performing school. This includes coding invoices, purchasing, facilities, food services, transportation, technology, student recruitment, student data, regulatory compliance, and academic operations support. The School Operations Manager serves as a key member of the school's Front Office Team, ensures that the school's operations meet high standards of operational excellence, families are offered outstanding customer service, and enables instructional leaders and staff to focus on driving strong student achievement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervises School Operations Associate
* Purchases items & services for the school; knows the procurement process, is trained in KIPPeMart
* Codes invoices, collects money (e.g. EOY trips, club fees), prepares deposits
* Implements the arrival and dismissal procedure (car flow, bus line up, walkers)
* Manages the day to day busing operations for their school; rosters, parent requests/ issues, student line-up process, parent and student ID tags, student behavior; works closely w/ their Bus Coordinator Lead for needs and changes
* Manages Child Nutrition day to day logistics (meal card replacement, supper rosters); works closely with the Child Nutrition Field Supervisor
* Manages school event coordination (i.e. meet the teacher night, parent engagement sessions, enrollment and recruitment activities - working with Regional Student Recruitment)
* Manages copier and teacher workroom supplies, troubleshoots copiers, trained on the copiers
* Manages any student technology program the school runs (i.e. Chromebooks)
* Updates any school based calendar for the School Leader
* Supports field lesson logistics (booking buses, ordering sack lunches, hotel rooms, travel, etc.)
* Manages any school based social media communications/ postings
* Gives parent tours for potential student prospects
* Schedules shared space
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal of Operations

* 3 to 5 years of work experience, preferably in education and/or business or operations management

The Office of School Health (OSH) is a joint program of the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene responsible for promoting the health of the 1.3 million school children enrolled in approximately 1,800 public and non-public schools in New York City. Services to students include case management of chronic health problems, preventive health screening, urgent care, medication administration, preventive counseling, reproductive health services, health education referral for care and assurance of ongoing effective treatment. OSH has been the provider of public health services for 100 years. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Act as principal advisor to the Medical Director on the development, execution, and monitoring of high-profile priority projects and programs. Support the Medical Director in the functioning of the Medical Unit and seek to identify key areas of opportunity, integration, innovation, and improvement across the unit, to help meet DFCH and agency goals and priorities.
- Assist Medical Director with high-level budget responsibilities; preparing and modifying the program budget; developing program financial plans and cost reductions. Attend Leadership meetings, internal/external meeting with the Medical Director to provide a record of the discussion, decisions made, next steps and follow-up items, including distribution of follow-up materials to meeting participants as needed.

**Responsibilities**

2. Adhere to behavioral plans/protocols as written. Utilize the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as indicated.
3. Effectively use behavior management strategies and implement approved physical intervention procedures (i.e., transportation/escort and immobilization/restraint) as trained.
4. Work directly with assigned student to support skill acquisition (i.e., academic and social-emotional); assist with daily living skills and medical needs (i.e., toileting, hygiene, meals, lifting/carrying students with physical disabilities); and support behavior management in one-to-one (1:1), group, school, and community settings.
5. Promote and support peer interactions, generalization of student skills across settings, and work to foster student independence.
6. Modify academic, socioemotional, and behavioral tasks and materials to meet student needs/abilities as outlined by the teacher and Behavior Resource team.
7. Accurately collect and record all data in a timely and prescribed manner.
8. Follow classroom routines as outlined by the teacher and enact proactive classroom management strategies.
9. Follow student fitness routines (to include pool and water-based activities) as outlined by the school program.
10. Organize, prepare, and use school materials to support student learning and assist with the implementation of technology in instructional design and delivery.
11. Actively engage in classroom and team meetings, supervision meetings, in-service trainings, and school-wide events as assigned.
12. May be required to safely drive and operate Institute vans to transport students and staff members, as assigned.

**EXPERIENCE:**

**RELATED TRAINING:**

Morris Community High School is seeking applicants for a School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year due to an upcoming retirement. The school nurse provides services to the students (approximately 900) with support provided by a nurse's office assistant. In addition, the nurse provides education and training to the District's employees, manages school health records and screenings, and participates in the development of health-related policies and procedures, among other duties. The nurse also serves as an integral member of the student services team.
Currently, the nurse's work schedule includes the 180 days of the school year plus 16 extended contract days during the summer.
Qualifications
It is preferred that candidates have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse endorsement.

Candidates holding a PEL are paid according to the salary schedule in the collective bargaining agreement for certified employees, which can be found here.
