Carry out security-related screening procedures in accordance with site-specific policies for logistics and distribution operations.
Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting employees and visitors as they move through designated screening areas.
Document and report any irregularities or suspicious activities observed during screening processes.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
Support regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to our HR department, administering and coordinating key day-to-day HR tasks and assisting with recruitment activities for Maxime’s and Birley Bakery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following and may change or be adjusted at any time:
- Provides administrative support to the HR & Payroll Manager.
- Update details on the HRIS as required.
- Assist with onboarding the new employees.
- Assist with the administration of company benefits.
- Remain conversant with legislative updates specifically relating to payroll and benefits.
- Prepare HR letters including references, bank letters, etc.
- Special projects and reporting as required.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance team to deliver timely and accurate payroll reports, including regular updates and ad hoc reports as requested to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
- Assist the Recruitment Coordinator with updating job descriptions.
- Write and update job adverts.
- Post job adverts for hourly roles and screen applicants.
- Liaise with heads of department to arrange interviews and trails for hourly roles.
- Assist with arranging and hosting recruitment fairs.
- Cover in the absence of the Recruitment Coordinator
- Draft hourly offer letters.
- Maintain recruitment tracker of applicants and progress.
- Collaborate with the Group People team as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in administrative support to an HR department in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Quickly forms and nurtures strong relationships with teammates and candidates.
- Exude warmth, positivity, and professionalism.
- General HR knowledge preferred.
- Bilingual, fluent in verbal, reading and written communication skills in English. Spanish is not required but highly desirable.

- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when asked to complete tasks.
- Ability to work onsite; this is not a remote position.
