This is heavy manual work with exposure to outside environment in the collection of solid waste, recycling, and yard waste material. May operate solid waste disposal collection truck along established routes. Work involves collection of a wide variety of refuse, recycling materials, or special materials at homes and businesses in a safe and efficient manner. Takes waste to landfill or recycling center and deposits materials as directed along with other tasks assigned related to the Sanitation Refuse Worker.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Possession of valid State of Michigan Drivers License.
