The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Associates daily, to deliver products on time to a customer in a safe and efficient manner.
This position reports to the Sr. Operations Manager, and is part of the Liquid Media Manufacturing team located in Logan, Utah and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. This is a second shift role and the expected work hours are from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
What you will do:
+ Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner
+ Developing and creating training plans to maximize workforce capacity
+ Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
+ Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation
+ Manages staffing levels in order to meet business delivery and cost goals
+ Improving operating rigor and manufacturing processes
+ Coaching and developing direct reports to improve the culture of the team and site
Who you are:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with 2 years of production, supply chain experience or leadership, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years production or supply chain experience
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
+ Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity
Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Frequently move, lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 lbs with assistance
+ Frequently climb stairs and ladders
+ Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot, and reach
+ Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, finger, handle and feel small objects

As the facility continues to aggressively increase in productivity and it lowers its manufacturing costs, there is a need to recruit a second shift Production Supervisor to supervise and coordinate all activities of one or more major manufacturing function(s).
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities of one or more major manufacturing functions a second shift of operation and assures the efficient utilization of equipment and manpower to maintain production schedules and produce a quality product. Coordinates production to meet production control schedules and maintains continuous flow of production; implements the necessary maintenance of equipment to ensure continuous production on an assigned shift.
**_Job Objectives/Initiatives_** :
+ Direct supervision over hourly associates and coordinates with various other departments.
+ Use thorough up-to-date knowledge of the process and equipment for which they are responsible, plans work and production for the shift.
+ Ensure associates have the needed raw materials, instructions, machine availability, and training to meet production requirements, and obtains information from prior shift supervisor regarding operating problems.
+ Observe associates for effectiveness, efficiency, performance safety practices, following instructions and procedures to reduce scrap, usage, and waste.
+ Evaluate process, work performance on each associate, and make recommendations.
+ Keep records during each shift on attendance, absence, call ins, and over time schedule.
+ Handle the first step grievances within assigned shift in accordance established policy.
+ Assures that all the manpower, raw materials, and equipment is on hand and running to produce the highest quality product, in the most efficient, and timely manner.
+ Perform routine and on-going monitoring of machinery/equipment use within area of responsibility to ensure that machine safeguards/controls are effectively in place whenever machines are operating in a production mode.
+ Perform other tasks that are reasonable to the job as requested by Direct Management.
**_Qualifications_**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field, preferred.
+ Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing supervision.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word; ability to learn new software applications
* Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
