EchoStar is seeking a talented and innovative Security Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of its Identity Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture. As a Security Architect, you will provide security services support for a large enterprise network spanning approximately 140 sites. You will manage major application and site move and build projects in coordination with the team and the project manager. You will assist the Network Analyst with the creation of security-related reports, setting network monitor thresholds, and overseeing network health. You will respond to operational requests daily and act as the second level of escalation for incident resolution. Working closely with the Network Architect, you will review new technologies and standards and assist with the development of SOPs, runbooks, and other operational resources for the security team. You will report the regular status of projects and operational issues to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM).

As a Network Security Architect on our team, you'll use your skills to help support the nation's defense and resp ond to evolving adversaries. You'll upgrade or develop enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures, or increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing LANs and VLANs
• 8+ years of experience designing, deploying, and providing advanced support of multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks
• 5+ years of experience creating new network architectures or modifying existing architectures to meet changing client needs
• 5+ years of experience with the application of network design methodologies and network architecture principles
• 5+ years of experience deploying, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions
• Experience with classified networks
• Knowledge of access controls, network security, and communication and routing protocols
• Ability to analyze, recommend, and design new or improved operational capabilities across the enterprise network topology
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an IT field

• Experience with network accreditation and security compliance processes
• Knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies, including VMware, EMC, and NetApp
• Knowledge of integrating traditional on-prem network setups or service with cloud-based solutions
• Ability to assist in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing systems
• Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost-efficient
• Ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions with internal and external organizations
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• TS / SCI clearance
