Brown & Brown is seeking an Information Security Awareness Lead to join our growing team.
In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide security awareness initiatives, creating engaging training that strengthens cyber hygiene, reduces organizational risk, and promotes a resilient security culture. You will collaborate with technical experts to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into practical, actionable guidance for teammates at all skill levels.
How You Will Contribute:
- Develop and execute a multi-year security awareness training program strategy that reflects company goals and security risks.
- Include a communication plan and schedule in the strategy that details what will be communicated, to whom, by which medium, and at which cadence.
- Identify, collect, and report on measures of success that show the positive impact of security awareness training.
- Develop new security awareness and education plans (including training materials) that drive secure cybersecurity behavioral results. These plans should include onboarding, annual, and role-specific training.
- Review Brown and Brown's policy set and work with the legal team and subject matter experts to ensure that best practices are reflected in policies to drive desired secure behaviors.
- Promote awareness of security issues among management and ensure sound security principles are reflected in the organization's vision and goals.
- Administer the simulated phishing campaign platform and perform simulated phishing campaigns.
- Develop and/or participate in tabletop, blue/red/purple team, or other interactive training exercises.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest security training topics and tactics
- Conduct periodic reviews/revisions of course content for accuracy, completeness, and currency.
- Provide information regarding intrusion events, security incidents, and other threat indicators.
- 10 Years' experience in Cyber Security and at least 5 years focused on training
- A degree in Cyber Security or demonstrated skills in the Cyber Security domain will be considered a plus
- Working knowledge of the NIST Cyber Security Framework, its functional areas, and best practices in NIST cyber security training programs
- Experience in at least one information security domain such as Security Awareness, Vulnerability Management, Cyber-defense, Incident Response, Forensics, or Security Architecture.
- Ability to develop a curriculum that speaks to the topic at the appropriate level for the target audience
- Experience preparing and delivering education and awareness programs that adhere to policy and show measurable results.
- Experience with internal cybersecurity awareness communications campaigns with demonstrable results in driving awareness and building engagement in a globally dispersed workforce.
- Experience with a learning management system
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with ticketing systems (ex. Remedy, Service Now)
- Strategic thinker with the ability and willingness to wear many proverbial 'hats' and do hands-on work
- Possess a passion for Cyber Security and training awareness
$140,000 - $145,000 Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.

Compensation
- The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.

Compensation and Employment
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $20,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. + Maintain a program that consistently brings security issues to the attention of the government.
+ Support training course administration to include; scheduling students for internal and external training, and customer service, including the granting of training credit and reciprocal credit

+ Support and monitor required training for NGA personnel to ensure that those who create or handle classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) have satisfactory knowledge and understanding of relevant categories and associated markings, as well as applicable safeguard dissemination, and decontrol policies and procedures.
+ Assist in the Development of policies to stipulate agency procedures, roles and responsibilities regarding the management of classified information and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with EO 13556 and directives from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
+ Support and execute the day-to-day program functions and operations IAW E.O. 13526, E.O. 13556, Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and other ISP policy.
+ Support to the NGA and contractor personnel performing on classified efforts (at the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral levels) by providing approved classification guidance, release procedures and marking criteria.
+ Monitor and update existing policy and guidance to maintain accuracy, as appropriate
**Required:**
+ Active TS/SCI clearance and must be willing to undergo a polygraph exam
+ Demonstrate knowledge of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community and security training policies in information security, operations security, and security education training.
+ Demonstrate six (6) plus years of experience applying Executive Orders 12333,13526 and 13556, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 703 & 710, DoDM 5205.02, and DoD Manual 5200.01 standards to classified national security information, controlled unclassified information, operations security, and information security.
+ Demonstrate six (6) plus years of experience in briefing and training with effective written and oral communication skills.
