Mid Level Career It Security Position

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute in-depth security control assessments (SCAs) for National Security Systems (NSS) in compliance with NIST RMF and CNSS policy.
  • Develop and maintain formal documentation, including NSS-specific SOPs and CONOPs.
  • Analyze cyber risk indicators stemming from system threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Research, develop, and implement policies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the security authorization process.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans, create Body of Evidence (BoE) artifacts, and produce Security Assessment Reports (SARs).
  • Provide in-depth analysis of cyber threat actor behavior and create detailed white papers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) AND 4+ years experience OR AS/AA with 6+ years experience OR HS/GED with 8+ years experience.
  • Expertise in NIST RMF and CNSS policy frameworks.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity risk analysis and reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Deputy Project Director, the Paralegal will be responsible for providing litigation and administrative support to the legal project. This includes, but is not limited to, responding to legal assistance inquiries, cite checking and formatting litigation documents, and maintaining the litigation calendar and files and other litigation items.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
  • Provide litigation, administrative, and research support for the work of NSP attorneys
  • Type, prepare, proofread, format, and cite-check legal and other documents such as briefs, motions, declarations, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence
  • Provide logistical, administrative, and document management support for hearings and trials
  • Review and organize documents related to Freedom of Information Act requests and discovery
  • Draft, edit, and prepare affidavits, Freedom of Information Act requests, and other legal or public education documents
  • Arrange for service of legal documents; prepare and serve discovery documents; research court rules and procedures
  • Handle general administrative duties including processing invoices, tracking expenses and case costs, preparing expense reports, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, etc.

COMPENSATION

The ACLU values equity, transparency, and clarity in pay. Consistent with the ACLU's compensation philosophy there is a set salary for this role. The ACLU also has a locality adjustment policy that applies to salaries. The salary for this position is $78,979. Excellent benefits package provided. Required Qualifications
  • Current and active security clearance.
  • 10+ years of professional experience working in program management supporting USG contracts or the aerospace and defense domain.
  • Extensive experience working with national security and intelligence customers.

**Your New Role.**

**Pay Transparency**
This job posting may cover multiple career levels. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role's function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience.
**Compensation Range**
The Compensation Range for this role is $175,000 - $225,000.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Current and active security clearance.
+ 10+ years of professional experience working in program management supporting USG contracts or the aerospace and defense domain.
+ Extensive experience working with national security and intelligence customers.
+ Experienced leader able to build a plan, build a team, and execute with clear ownership and minimal oversight.
+ Direct experience with space industry program planning and execution.
+ Proven ability to manage technical development and/or R&D scope and technical teams.
+ Continuous learner that is not afraid to lead through uncertainty, take chances and learn from his/her mistakes.
+ Consistently takes initiative and champions causes that need to be addressed.
+ Demonstrated emotional intelligence to interact and empathize with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customers.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment.
+ Able to travel CONUS up to 25% of time.
**Desired Qualifications**
+ Proven ability to successfully provide profit and loss management to portfolio, including forecasting as well as resource and cost management, resulting in successfully meeting financial objectives.
+ Experience with remote sensing satellite development and/or mission operations.
+ Confident understanding of Agile product development and technology development lifecycle processes.
+ Experience working with business development on USG captures and supporting and/or leading proposals.
+ Experience with large competitive captures.
+ Experience with SAR and RF space payloads and their associated ground systems.
+ Familiarity and leadership experience with SAFe, PMI or other similarly rigorous organizational frameworks.
