Title: Associate, Elementary Security

Ensures the flow of stakeholders in an elementary school setting by monitoring campus activity and undertaking necessary precautions vital to the protection of the staff and students to preserve an environment suitable for the education process.

Essential Functions:

The following duties are representative of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Assist in daily check in with staff members, students, and visitors on campus.
• Conduct security checks of all exterior doors and windows on campus
• Monitor and grant property entry of authorized personnel on campus.
• Safeguard the school grounds from suspicious people and activity.
• Respond to emergency situations on campus.
• Observe and report hazardous conditions to administration team.
• Communicate with and Lead Campus Supervisor and Sector Sergeants of any incidents on campus.
• Maintain security checks in the front entry and vestibule of the schools.
• Assist administration in the main driveway to control the flow of vehicle traffic necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate's degree or equivalent completed college coursework from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years working with students, or the public required.
• Previous experience working with security issues, safety concerns, and/or social work with high-risk students preferred. Ability to demonstrate the level of proficiency necessary to perform the duties of the specified position.

SECURITY ARCHITECT-IMMEDIATE CRUCIAL NEED
Manager says he has had a hard time finding the right type of security Architect most of the times he asked them to explain a scenario , a problem they encountered were presented with and what was the solution and write it on the front board during the interview and they're not able to articulate a work flow and how they architected the solution
The manager has an operation background
Needs candidate to be in the Brooklyn, NY area , or local Area person that can be onsite or hybrid -Somebody that lives in the area that can work either on site five days a week or hybrid

He is building a new security team. Needs somebody that looks at a problem. Understands the environment and works with what's available adding whatever components are needed, but not all new equipment.

Needs a savvy architect that has all the NIST credentials to blend in well with his team
He wants people that are not narrow minded
He wants a person that looks at a problem and find a solution, not other problems to add to the existing one
When he calls in somebody for an interview, he will ask them to draw a flow chart on a graph whatever problem they encountered what was the solution and what was the approach if they've actually been an architect and then work, they can explain their thought process
This security architect has to work with the network architect
The environment is not cut and dry. You must work to integrate things.

*WHAT YOU'LL DO*
- Provide information, directions, and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Patrol campus by vehicle and on foot; monitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards
- Enforce institutional and parking regulations; issue permits and citations as needed
- Serve as a Campus Security Authority in compliance with the Clery Act
