Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
We are looking for a Security Architect to be part of the Versant Cyber Security Solutions Architecture team. The Security Solutions Architect is an individual contributor who will partner with the various Versant businesses, enterprise IT, and other Cyber Security teams to ensure technology is designed and deployed securely and aligned with Cyber Security and enterprise technology strategies.
The successful candidate will be joining Versant at an exciting time as we evolve our process and services. The Security Solutions Architect will be conducting security consulting engagements across the businesses and drive process improvements in threat modeling and risk evaluation. In addition to consulting engagements, the security architect will create architecture references, design patterns, and security guidance where needed. They will be a subject matter expert on one or more technical security topics such as cloud or networking and will mentor and serve as a reviewer for other team members building threat models. Finally, a successful candidate must effectively communicate the importance of critical programs and services within the Versant Cyber Security Organization to obtain support, trust, and buy-in from the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
+ Ensuring completeness of security engagement requests as part of the intake process
+ Researching new/emerging technology, previous security reviews, and security posture details from various Versant security tools
+ Engaging in Business IT development & integration projects to ensure security features and controls are embedded
+ Contributing to the security architecture review process, working alongside the Cyber Security Architecture Team to conduct threat analysis/modeling and recommend security controls to business areas
+ Guiding cybersecurity policy and process requirements to business stakeholders
+ Staying current with cyber security trends and technologies, as well as the technology used by the company
+ Completing full security reviews of typical applications semi-independently and on time while applying feedback from other team members
+ Minimum 4 years working in positions across cyber security disciplines to include but not limited to Cyber-focused security assurance or architecture, governance, risk, compliance, audit, information security, and technical training.
+ Experience with security and enterprise architecture methodologies.
+ Experience with cloud-based application development and hosting.
+ Experience using diagramming tools such as Lucidchart or Visio
+ Understanding of end-to-end secure development methodologies and have expertise in one or more tools/methods used to identify security flaws in applications including: Code Reviews, SAST, DAST, and/or Penetration Testing tools.
+ Experience with threat analysis frameworks and modeling, such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK
+ Experience with varied security controls and regulatory frameworks (PCI-DSS 4.0, SCF, NIST, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, CMMC, etc.) and ability to create an environment where compliance flows from security.
+ Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
+ Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape including different types of adversaries, campaigns, and the motivations that drive them and the ability to translate this to defending Versant.
+ Strong and proven communication (both verbal and written) and customer engagement skills with experience briefing corporate executives and professionals.
+ A degree is not required, but experience or training in a technical, defensive cybersecurity function is highly desirable (i.e., cybersecurity engineer, incident response, etc.)
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
+ Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field and/or equivalent work experience.
+ Knowledge or experience in the media and entertainment space and awareness of the technical landscape involved in content creation and delivery.

Position Summary
This is a position with two main responsibilities, overseeing and managing the email security systems within the managed services scope, and helping develop and support our proprietary services applications and tools. Position Summary
This is a position with two main responsibilities, overseeing and managing the email security systems within the managed services scope, and helping develop and support our proprietary services applications and tools. The engineering side of the role involves monitoring, configuring, and maintaining email security environments (PPS/POD, TAP, TRAP/CTR) to ensure optimal performance and protection against threats. The development side involves writing production-grade code, remediating vulnerabilities and responding to bug reports and feature requests.

Position Summary
This is a position with two main responsibilities, overseeing and managing the email security systems within the managed services scope, and helping develop and support our proprietary services applications and tools. The engineering side of the role involves monitoring, configuring, and maintaining email security environments (PPS/POD, TAP, TRAP/CTR) to ensure optimal performance and protection against threats. The development side involves writing production-grade code, remediating vulnerabilities and responding to bug reports and feature requests.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
+ Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Proofpoint's email security managed services and best practices.
+ Respond to customer requests for rule changes, feature additions, policy updates, and routing configurations.
+ Deliver briefings on new product versions, features, and functionality.
+ Review, enable, and configure new product features and enhancements.
+ Collaborate with Threat Strategy Managers to onboard new customers from the Professional Services team, including defining and owning onboarding acceptance criteria.
+ Handle customer escalations and monitor case progress to ensure accuracy and timely completion within SLO guidelines.
+ Participate in and manage the team's on-call rotation, including after-hours and weekend support.
+ Provide operational metrics and optimization recommendations to MTPS management. Developer
+ Work alongside seniors to design, build, and maintain applications and tools.
+ Write and review new code as well as find and fix bugs in existing code.
+ Continuously learn new programming languages, tools, and technologies, and gain a deeper understanding of our various codebases and architectures.
+ Help diagnose and resolve technical problems, user-reported issues and vulnerabilities.
+ Collaborate with other teams to find and develop new opportunities for value creation and efficiency gains within managed services.
Qualifications Required
+ Write and review Python and work with PIP.
+ Comfortable working with Linux via terminal, using SSH, Git etc. General experience with web and email gateways.
+ Background in information or network security. General experience in corporate networking, technical support, system administration (Windows, Unix/Linux), or network security.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with team members and clients. Excellent time-management and communication skills.
Preferred:
+ Ability to write and review JS/TS/React and work with NPM.
+ Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL or Redis.
+ Experience with containers, especially Docker or K8s.
+ Working knowledge of AWS.
+ Experience with regular expressions.
+ Scripting knowledge in Perl, Java, or Bash.
+ Vendor certifications in supported products.
+ Industry certifications such as CISSP, Network+, Security+, etc.
