**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

+ May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accord with post orders and company policy.
**Education/Experience:** High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of related experience, or an an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.

**Summary**
We are seeking a **Security Supervisor** with experience in Residential Protective Services. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Residential Protective Service Operations (PSD) and will be responsible for overseeing operations across the DMV region. This role plays a key part in training and managing security personnel, ensuring project requirements are met, and contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of all security operations.

+ Will lead and be responsible for all assigned shift personnel; oversee all training, planning, scheduling and execution, in support of all on site security operations.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure schedule deconflictions and shift requirements / milestones are met.
+ Develop and maintain shift documentation, including schedules, timelines and shift reports.
+ Identify and mitigate identified security risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
+ Foster strong relationships with on-site U.S. Marshal Service stakeholders and ensure clear communication throughout the team and cross communication with other locations.
+ Oversee / Supervise the Residential Security Officer shift to ensure all training and operations are executed in accordance with all established protocols.
+ Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the overall project and security operations processes.

**Qualifications**
+ Must be a Citizen of the U.S.
+ A High School diploma is required. An Associate's Degree with a focus in Security Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
+ Possessing a valid registration with a firearms endorsement is preferred.
+ A minimum of three (3) years of prior military service experience, or least one (1) year of sworn law enforcement or armed contract security experience specifically in the management of security or guard force operations is preferred.
+ A minimum of three (3) years proven experience in overseeing and managing security programs, project management, ideally within government or publishing sectors.
+ Possess Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Successfully pass all physical fitness requirements.

**Responsibilities**
Mayo Clinic Global Security Supervisors will oversee the activities and supervision of the security officers by assisting with problems, providing direction, determining appropriate action, and disseminating information.
The supervisor will meet budgetary specifications and maintain a budget in conjunction with the manager or security operations. The role also includes ongoing collaboration and communication utilizing shared goal setting and decision making with physicians, associate providers, department staff and multidisciplinary team members.
The supervisor serves as a focal point for emergencies and ensures a safe and secure environment. They participate in the hiring and training of new Security Officers. They will perform routine security officer functions as needed in conjunction with their other duties.
May utilize security vehicle on a regular or occasional basis; enforces Mayo policies and responds to complaints and service calls for wrongdoing, prepares incident reports/activity logs, and may work in the Security control centers.
A Supervisor adapts to unpredictable and stressful situations; manages altercations and emergency crises in an effective and professional manner; operates and communicates on a two-way radio; exhibits good judgment, maturity, initiative, tact and diplomacy when dealing with people in stressful situations. They will frequently be walking, standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pulling, climbing, reaching, and pushing, and occasionally running; is able to move quickly up and down stairwells, from the ground floor up to the top floor of each building without assistance; assists patients, volunteers, visitors, and staff with emergency evacuations, including evacuations in stairwells, to include handling emergency evacuation devices used to transport patients and others to safety; makes effective decisions as an emergency first responder, is confident in stressful situations, and works as a team member with other emergency responders, including law enforcement and fire/rescue personnel.
They are able to work nights and weekends for security and protection assignments and when required by emergency or special situations.

**Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree with one year security, healthcare, law enforcement or military experience and two years supervisory experience or Associates degree with three years security, healthcare, law enforcement or military experience and two years supervisory experience or HS/GED with five years security, healthcare, law enforcement or military experience with two years supervisory experience.Progressive experience in a healthcare/management role required. Experience in patrolling, incident report writing, defensive tactics, emergency response, lock/unlock procedures, door access, and CCTV camera operation; experience with Windows XP or newer as well as intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software applications; technical aptitude to work with Security Technology is preferred.
Previous security experience; able to work independently and in a team-environment; requires strong sense of customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, visitors and employees; requires strong written and verbal skills; strong problem solving skills are necessary.
Has the ability to read and communicate effectively in a pleasant, courteous, professional and friendly manner. Maintains a professional appearance at all times per organizational and department standards. Can restrain potentially violent individuals; demonstrated ability to remain calm and assume control of emergency situations.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy; must obtain Supervisory Level Certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) within 6 months. Primary Purpose of the Organization:

The Fayetteville State University Department of Police and Public Safety is responsible for maintaining a safe learning and working environment for our students, staff, faculty, and visitors. The Residence Hall Property Security unit operates within the Department and provides security services to the residential facilities on campus.

Primary Purpose of the Position:

This position will be responsible for Property Security Officers assigned to the unit. The Property Security Supervisor will evaluate Property Security Officers' performance, designate assignments, direct resources, and provide direction and guidance to lower-ranking security officers as needed. The Property Security Supervisor will work with other supervisors to establish performance objectives for Property Security Officers. The employee will monitor the actions of Property Security Officers to ensure compliance with university and department policies and procedures. Duties include providing leadership/supervision to officers on the shift, training officers, inspecting Property Security Officers and equipment, reviewing reports and documentation completed during the shift, conducting performance reviews, administering personnel actions, and providing input concerning operational planning. Other duties may include assisting with the scheduling of Property Security Officers to ensure appropriate staffing levels and assisting Property Security Officers with completing duties during times of increased workload, staffing shortages, or as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in security, enforcement, or protection work.
• A valid driver's license. Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record, preferably five or more years of driving experience with no more than one minor at fault accident or violation in the past three years.
