**Primary Responsibilities:**
The ISSE shall perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established IA standards and regulations and recommended mitigation strategies.This includes:
+ Validates and verifies system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security design
+ Designs, develops, implements and/or integrates IA and security systems and system components including those for networking, computing and enclave environment to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements
+ Builds IA into systems deployed to operation environments
+ Assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application of Agency security policy and enterprise solutions
+ Supports the building of security architectures
+ Enforces the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architecture
+ Assesses and mitigates system security threats/risk throughout the program life cycle
+ Contributes to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations
+ Reviews C&A documentation, providing feedback on completeness and compliance of its content
**CLEARANCE REQUIRED** : Minimum TS/SCI with ability to obtain Polygraph.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university ideally in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering or related field with a minimum of 15+ years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) or Network Engineer on programs and/or contracts with the customer space
+ CASP OR CISSP a firm requirement
+ CISSP-ISSEP DoD approved 8570 baseline certification is a firm requirement for Level III
+ Strong writing skills
+ Experience developing and documenting system security requirements and conducting requirements gap analysis.
+ Knowledge of, and practical experience with the NIST Special Publications 800 Series, CNSSI 1253, and DoD 8500.
+ Experience with network technologies and the ability to demonstrate knowledge of network protocols, communications systems and architectures

Job Description:
As a Specialist, Information Security Systems Engineer at L3Harris Technologies, you will be involved in the cryptography that enables communication capabilities for the warfighter. We are looking for people with experience with cryptography design, development, and certification via FIPS 140 and/or NSA certification processes. Our team includes both experienced and developing engineers in the field of cryptography. We hope to find candidates who are ready to work on a deeply technical, high energy team. A Secret Clearance is required for this position.
Essential Functions:
+ Understand and apply NSA and FIPS 140 requirements to cryptography products
+ Work with both software and hardware design engineers to implement requirements that satisfy the certification standards

+ Lead NSA certification and FIPS 140 validation development efforts

**Program Summary**
As a Senior Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) you will join a small team of security engineers providing Information Assurance (IA) Architecture Analysis and Security Engineering Support for the implementation and fielding of the National Leadership Command Capability in support of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Continuity of Government (COG), and Senior Leader communications. Summary: Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is looking forInformation Security Systems Developer - Intermediateto join our team in the Patuxent River area. This team supports a Department of Defense (DoD) client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
+ May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
+ May perform cyber forensic analysis in response to cyber threats in hardware and software environments.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
+ High school diploma or GED and active CSWF Code 111, 211, 212, 221, 461, 511, 531, 541, 612, 622 certifications or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Info Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) and 3 years of relevant experience
+ Active Top Secret w/SCI eligible clearance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
+ Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
+ Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
+ Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
+ Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

+ Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
+ Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.

Job Description:
This role applies current systems security engineering methods, practices and technologies to the architecture, design, development, evaluation and integration of systems and networks to maintain system security. Throughout the lifecycle of system, works closely with customers to ensure that the security protection needs, concerns and requirements are defined and implemented with appropriate fidelity and rigor, early, and in a sustainable manner that will allow for the security authorization of the system of interest. Works with systems developers or commercial product vendors in the design and evaluation of state-of-the-art secure systems, networks, and database products using methods such as encryption technology, vulnerability analysis and security management. Responsible for integration of multiple methods into a cohesive system security perimeter and environment while implementing the policies and procedures necessary to monitor and maintain such an environment. Prepares Certification and Accreditation documentation, using multiple industry standards such as DITSCAP, NIACAP, DCID 6/3, Common Criteria, and NIST 800-37, to achieve security authorization of supported systems.
