BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Semiconductor Engineer to join the Advanced Microwave Product Center (located in Nashua, NH). In this role, you will lead/contribute to team efforts to develop next generation MMIC processes and optimize these processes for manufacturability. This includes advanced device and process development, new process integration, as well as implementation and qualification of developed technologies in a multi-technology foundry environment. A strong background in semiconductor process integration as related to III-V materials is highly desired. In-depth knowledge of GaN RF devices and related processing is preferred. Multi-tasking is expected in our fast-paced environment with delivery commitments to both internal and external customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master's degree in semiconductor related fields and 4 years of work experience; or PhD in semiconductor related fields
+ Understanding of semiconductor device physics, in particular with microwave field effect transistor operation
+ Track record of concept development and realization of innovative device designs and process solutions
+ Ability to multi-task, functioning both as individual contributor and as team leader in multiple projects
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and execute projects within budget and schedule constraints
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Hands-on experience in III-V semiconductor advanced process development

**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:**
+ Contributing to the development of new product opportunities by assisting with the overall design, layout, and optimization of Memory/Logic/Analog circuits
+ Parasitic modeling and assisting in design validation, reticle experiments and required tape-out revisions
+ Overseeing and managing the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing
+ Performing verification processes with modeling and simulation using industry standard simulators
+ Contributing to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success
+ Working with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering groups to ensure accurate manufacturability of product
+ Proactively solicit guidance from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to improve the design quality
+ Driving innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment

+ Test and bring-up FPGA and CPU based boards and systems
+ Review system specification documents for architecture, electrical, power delivery, thermal, and mechanical requirements
+ Work closely with in-house board design teams and external contractors to guide and review schematic, layout, thermal and mechanical design
+ Work closely with software teams to support firmware and tools development
+ Researching and selecting electronic components, reading datasheets and application notes, working with 3rd party partners and vendors to ensure selected devices meet requirements
**Your Role**
+ **MUST** have hands-on experience in board bring-up and debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support
+ Highly experienced in hardware bring-up and debugging using test equipment like Logic analyzer, oscilloscope basic soldering skills
+ Highly experienced with one or more of the following:
+ High-speed interfaces like PCIe, USB, Ethernet, high-speed serial
+ Low-speed interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, JTAG
+ Power system design
+ Experienced with defining system specifications for hardware systems and creating and executing a test plan
+ Proficient with schematic and layout tools (OrCAD, Allegro), SI, thermal
+ Innovative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
+ Proficient written, verbal, negotiation, and communication skills
**Your Skills and Experience**
+ Familiarity with Open Compute Project standards and specifications
+ x86 platform architecture
+ Linux kernel/drivers
+ C/C , Verilog, TCL, Python
+ Xilinx FPGAs and tools
**Academic Credentials**
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Electronics/Computer Science related
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware design and bring-up
