Responsibilities:
- Post journal entries accurately and efficiently within the PeopleSoft General Ledger system.
- Prepare financial statements, operating reports, and activity summaries for executive staff and organizational leadership.
- Review and validate financial and statistical reports to ensure accuracy before dissemination.
- Investigate and analyze monthly financial statement variances, providing actionable insights.
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts against source documents, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Support interim, annual financial audits, and third-party audits by preparing lead schedules and providing requested documentation.
- Assist with the annual budget process, including coordinating departmental budget submissions and maintaining budget data.
- Analyze benchmark data and compile reports to support organizational decision-making.
- Complete hospital surveys and contribute to cost report preparations.
- Attend orientations, meetings, and in-service training sessions as required, demonstrating flexibility to meet organizational needs. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting processes.
- Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as PeopleSoft.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Role Description
We are seeking a full-time on-site Accountant located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Daily tasks will include reconciling accounts, managing budgets, and providing financial analysis. The Accountant will also support month-end and year-end close processes while collaborating with our teams at The Miller Group, Trident Civil, and Balicore to ensure streamlined financial operations across all divisions.
Job Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
- Contribute to the preparation of profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data in accounting software and develop procedures to maintain data accuracy and quality.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
- Prepare and distribute regular and ad hoc reports to management and stakeholders on time.
- Collaborate with various departments to assist with financial information requests and special projects as assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned that relate to the company's daily operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelors degree in accounting and/or finance is required
- 2+ years of experience in finance or corporate/private accounting
- Experience within the real estate development, construction, and equipment sectors is beneficial
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Familiarity with construction accounting software (e.g., Procore, Sage Intacct) is a plus but not required.

The Accountant II is responsible to the Accounting Manager for ensuring accurate general ledger reconcilements and performing tasks in accordance with updated Accounting Departments Accountabilities List. - Ensures that back-office transaction download files are posted from Episys to Prologue and vice versa. Researches/resolves out of balance conditions upon discovery.
- Prepares recurring internal reporting requirements with higher degree of complexities as outlined in the updated Accounting Departments Accountabilities List.
- Prepares recurring external regulatory and compliance reporting requirements with higher degree of complexities as outlined in the updated Accounting Departments Accountabilities List.
- Prepares financial statements for CUSO entities and Chartway Promise Foundation.
- Participates in the month-end/quarter-end closing. Performs assigned tasks with higher degree of complexities using prescribed closing deliverable checklist.
- Performs other recurring tasks as outlined in the updated Accounting Departments Accountabilities List.
- Performs review of vendor invoices in BankTEL before they are posted for payments.
- Assists in the preparation of audit schedules and documents.
- Responds to requests from branches, departments, and senior management within the standard turnaround time.
- Represents Accounting Department in various credit unions projects, ensuring completion of assigned deliverables.
- Prepares ad hoc reports and performs other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
- Provides recommendations to management for streamlining processes and reducing costs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to review account reconcilement to ensure timely clearing of outstanding items. Responsible for ensuring necessary research and follow-ups are done.
- Experience in the preparation of all financial, analysis and statistical reports, consisting of but not limited to: Financial Statements, Capital and Project Budgets, NCUA Call Report, CUSO Accounting, Regulation D Reporting
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and software for the following: General Ledger, Prepaids/Accruals, Accounts Payable, NCUA Reporting, Fixed Assets, ASC 842 Leases
- Well-versed in general ledger reconciliation and clearing of outstanding items. Ability to research and correct errors in the general ledger.

About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of cost accounting processes across our high-performance manufacturing operation. You will look to ensure accurate tracking of production costs and variances delivering valuable insights to drive decisions, and help us maintain competitive advantage through precision cost control.
In your role as our Cost Accountant, you will:- Conduct cost analysis & accurate reporting, tracking and analysing direct and indirect costs. Reporting will also look to provide cost variances and recommendations on cost-saving strategies.
- Maintain standard costs for materials, labour, and overheads.
- Monitor and reconcile inventory balances, performing month-end and year-end inventory adjustments.
- Monitor KPIs (e.g., material usage, scrap, downtime) collaborating with production teams to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with supply chain, production, and engineering teams, assisting in and providing input in pricing decisions, quoting, profitability analysis.

The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of our Accounting team, responsible for handling complex Government accounting practices as an individual contributor. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of Government accounting principles and the ability to navigate the entire project lifecycle from an accounting perspective. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will be assigned special projects as they become familiar with the position.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, and revenue tracking.
- Provide essential support to Project Managers throughout project setup, modification, execution, monitoring, and closeout phases, identifying and addressing potential issues promptly.
- Participate in joint venture accounting activities, including comprehensive financial statement preparation and the setup of new and existing joint ventures in Costpoint.
- Ensure accurate quarterly and annual joint venture reporting to Corporate.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations, including IFRS16 reconciliations.
- Support tax reporting efforts by obtaining necessary documentation for submission to the tax department or CPA firm.
- Facilitate subscription revenue setup and processing.
- Contribute to additional special projects as assigned.

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant for an opportunity in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee the accurate processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position is critical to maintaining efficient payroll operations and supporting the organization's financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating wages, deductions, and adjustments.
- Manage data entry into the organization's payroll system and maintain detailed records for easy access.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reports, including 941s, W-2s, and 1099s, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and collaborate with banks and other entities as needed.

ResponsibilitiesTitan America has an opening for a skilled and motivated professionalSenior Management Accountant , to join our Management Accounting team located at its Corporate Center in Norfolk, Virginia. This salary exempt position will assist with the consolidation and reporting of our Mid-Atlantic Business Unit (MABU) results and develop insightful analysis for MABU senior leadership team. This salaried exempt position reports to the Senior Manager, Management Accounting.
Responsibilities Include:
- Actively engaged in monthly close process for the Mid Atlantic Business Unit (MABU) product lines (cement, ready-mix, ash, or aggregates), including engagement with product line field management to understand monthly business activity, ensuring product line results are in compliance with IFRS standards and maintenance of required balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Critically analyze product line results and engage MABU leadership to develop insightful analysis and an understanding of underlying reasons for financial results.
- Assist with the reporting responsibilities to Financial Reporting team including the preparation and review of:
- Monthly management reporting package including product line financial statements (income statement and balance sheet) and commentary on the underlying reasons for performance.
- Quarterly financial reporting consolidation and supplemental schedules.
- Work with product line management to develop new reporting formats that allow their teams to quickly identify the drivers of monthly results.
- Coordinate with the Titan Americas Financial Planning and Analytics team to ensure consistency of financial reporting, key performance indicators, and financial performance measures. Contribute to the development of solutions of identified inconsistencies and the identification of best practices.
- Participate in the planning and execution of all phases of the MABU midyear review and year-end external audit process, including directly working with the external audit team, technical IFRS research, and contribution to footnote disclosures.
- Assist as needed the Financial Reporting team with regular reporting responsibilities to the Parents finance function and Titan America management.
- Participate in regular product line team meetings to understand key initiatives, business issues, and develop relationships with product line team members. Prepare and present relevant financial data, as required.
- Contribute to the development of companywide financial policies and procedures and internal controls and implementation within the MABU product lines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent capability, required. MBA preferred
- Five to eight years general accounting experience, required, public accounting experience, preferred.
- CPA, CMA certification, or equivalent capability, preferred.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS ) basis, a plus.
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP ), required.
- SAP FICO experience, required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, required. Data Analysis experience, knowledge of Hyperion, a plus.
