Our IPO and SPAC Advisory practice provides IPO and private capital issuers and SPAC targets with transaction perspectives, insights and advice as they evaluate and execute capital markets transactions.
As a transaction advisory Manager, you will be a vital member of the team advising our clients on navigating transformational capital markets transactions. Our work starts early in the transaction cycle as we help our clients prepare to transition to the public markets and for their interactions with Wall Street and other key service providers around a prospective transaction. Our responsibilities include: developing and aligning key stakeholders around the company's equity story / investor messaging and company and transaction models, underwriting syndicate strategy and financial advisor selection support, transaction and fee precedent analysis, perspectives on transaction structuring, valuation, marketing and pricing strategies, and general capital markets transaction management alongside our dedicated project management practice.

As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of private funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information to stakeholders inclusive of Fund's NAV production, maintenance of the internal control environment, the internal and external audit process, as well as the treasury function. Fund structures could include but not limited to hedge funds, private equity funds, private debt funds, and real estate funds. Your day-to-day may include:
+ Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple private funds, including complex fund structures with tiered ownership and waterfall calculations.
+ Review and approve quarterly and annual GAAP-compliant financial statements, capital account statements, and supporting schedules.
+ Oversee capital call and distribution processes, ensuring accurate allocation of cash flows and timely investor communication.
+ Maintain and reconcile investor capital accounts, including tracking commitments, contributions, preferred returns, and carried interest.
+ Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to support year-end audits and K-1 preparation.
+ Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

You have the following technical skills or qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

+ Prior experience in a public accounting firm (Big 4 or similar) and/or fund administrator is a plus

Description We are looking for a Hedge Fund Accounting Manager to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of fund accounting operations while delivering critical financial insights to stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Analyze and validate automated system reports to ensure accurate performance data.
- Manage fund administrators to guarantee timely financial closes and precise reporting.
- Provide critical financial data to portfolio managers and investor relations teams on both scheduled and ad-hoc bases.
- Review and approve fund accounting activities, including subscriptions, redemptions, money movements, P& L allocations, journal entries, monthly closes, and reconciliations.
- Supervise daily fund NAV monitoring and perform end-of-day reconciliations to support portfolio management decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive daily and monthly performance reports, incorporating calculations and statistics across various funds and fee structures.
- Collaborate with Investor Relations and Compliance teams to ensure all reports meet internal and external standards.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy. Requirements - Strong expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in preparing and auditing financial statements.
- Solid experience with account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Familiarity with fund accounting operations, including complex P& L allocations and NAV calculations.
- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail in reviewing financial data.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including investor relations and compliance.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity
As part of the Financial Markets Business Advisory Generalist team you advise multinational, publicly-traded companies and private firms on complex transactions involving technical accounting, financial reporting, operational policies, processes, and procedures. As a Senior Associate you analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain standards while building client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context. You are responsible for performing analyzes, research, and documenting complex and emerging accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting topics.

What You Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 2 years of experience
