The Business Development Manager has the primary responsibility for growing our product lines, understanding customer needs, and assisting in the identification of new technologies. This includes working with the Solution technical and Sales team in winning programs and delivering profitable growth.

**Essential Functions:**
+ Develop product roadmaps, market analysis and marketing tools, and financial modeling in support of product pricing and business case assessment
+ Drive product changes/features to maintain value propositions for our commercial and military customers
+ Lead new proposal development, customer surveys, and market research
+ Understand and communicate current and future customer needs and expectations throughout Crane Aerospace & Electronics
+ Participate in product demonstrations at shows, events and customer facilities
+ Establish rapport and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the customer organization.
+ Resolve customer issues and disputes
+ Work with cross functional team (engineering, program management, sales team and management) in implementing and executing roadmaps, developing products, and meeting customer commitments
+ Forecast demand for production, aftermarket, in service evaluations, and marketing
+ Responsible for accurate contract requirements flow-down and compliance by communicating to the appropriate Crane Aerospace & Electronics organizations.
+ Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Experience: 5 years' experience in engineering, business management, sales & marketing or strategic partnering; Aerospace experience preferred; Proven success in identifying, targeting, negotiating and winning profitable business; Experience in negotiating contracts; familiar with general contract language
+ Knowledge: Working familiarity/understanding of internet research, advertising and email marketing using generally accepted professional protocols
+ Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated analytical skills and disciplines in support of global business planning, strategy development / deployment, marketing (including e-marketing), and proposal development; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; high level of Excel expertise and sophisticated use of PowerPoint and other presentation media; Demonstrated ability to form and maintain good relationships with Customer representatives at all levels.
+ Education/Certification: BS Degree in relevant field of study
+ **Eligibility Requirement:** This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

**Responsibilities**
+ Proactively assembles and analyzes relevant market and industry data as required.
+ Develops and executes strategic marketing and business development initiatives in support of the district or business units. Supports strategic planning initiatives and district business plans as required.
+ Manages the district Client Project Specific Success Criteria (CPSSC) process.

**Qualifications**

+ 7-10 years experience in a related role with a minimum of 4 years experience in construction, development, or industrial environment preferred. Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/management capacity.
+ Possesses a detailed understanding of the district culture, goals, operations, fee strategies, and contract general conditions structure.
+ Understands development, design, and construction terminology, delivery methods, contract types, insurance, legal issues, financing strategies, and risk analysis.
+ Excellent knowledge of business administration and marketing fundamentals in support of strategy business development, including market research and analysis and integrated marketing principles.
+ Strong business acumen, with an understanding of industry practices and new developments (construction process, delivery models, contract types).
+ Strong understanding of construction and design systems, building types, and costs.
+ Understands construction terminology and ready grasp concepts and technical processes.
+ Knowledge of Canadian and/or the United States government procurement processes is an asset (specifically, experience with P3/AFP proposals).
