We are now looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our growing team. Specifically, we are looking for someone with prior management consulting experience, particularly in our heritage discipline, competitive intelligence.
Purpose of the Role:
A Consultant / Senior Consultant manages the delivery of client project(s), ensuring delivery of the projects are in line with client objectives and expectations as well as the project timelines. Working closely with the Key Account Lead, the Consultant / Snr Consultant serves as the key point of contact for the project, manages the client relationship throughout the term of the project and manages the Deallus project team.
Consultants and Senior Consultants will also be members of other teams to support the delivery of projects by conducting research, analyzing findings to generate insights and pulling together client deliverables.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develops key project deliverables, such as discreet pieces of (qualitative, quantitative, financial, pharmaco-economic) research, analysis and synthesis
- Using a range of strategic frameworks, conceptualizes complex data into compelling, succinct and actionable insights
- Creates, adheres to, manages, project plan and budget, incl. key milestones, delivery timelines, review sessions, with an eye for available capacity and for potential issues and risks
- Scopes out team role(s) and successfully delivers on own such role (including for example, project manager, financial/ quant analyst, communications champion)
- Manages small team in executing client project(s), addresses performance concerns effectively and early on
- Ensures high quality of deliverables, e.g., through four-eye principle, check list or formal quality control process
- Conducts project reviews and provides / seeks formal feedback at the close of every project (or at contract renewal for monitoring projects) to ensure key learnings from the project are captured
- Interacts with defined client teams in communicating progress, questions / hypotheses / conclusions, in addressing any questions and concerns, and in flagging issues as needed
- Ensures client satisfaction throughout the term of the project
- Takes on practice leadership role, e.g., related to recruiting, knowledge management, pursuit leadership
Required
- Familiarity, and in-market experience, with the US pharmaceutical market, through recent employment with US-based consulting firm
- Advanced degree in medicine/ life sciences from leading global faculty (Ph.D. preferred)
- Consultant level: 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Senior Consultant: 4+ years of applicable, recent life science/ pharma consulting experience
- Track record of professional success, with successive stages of advancement/ promotion
- Proven Leadership skills (functional, team, client, team, etc.)
- Experience in pharma competitive intelligence
- Strong knowledge and hands-on competitive intelligence experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including issue monitoring and coverage of industry conferences, primary C.I., CI deep dives, workshops, scenario planning, and synthesis/ insight generation
- Experience working on Commercial Strategy or Market Access projects
- Depth in one or more of the following therapeutic areas

Position Description
As a Consultant, you will lead a lane of work or be a Project Leader for a small project. Consultants regularly own tasks and create deliverables, delegating to others as appropriate. They manage project financials and demonstrate effective client relationship management. Consultants are expanding their understanding of project financials and their support for business development efforts (e.g., assisting with business capture efforts) and contributing to proposal development. They are expected to regularly manage up with senior members of their team and leverage senior staff expertise to collaborate on deliverables.
What You'll Do
- Manage project lanes or small projects to completion by scoping tasks and managing resources (i.e., time, budget, people) effectively; forecast and track lane/project financial performance and contribute to invoicing reviews and approvals
- Develop and manage the production of high-quality client-facing deliverables with established project quality standards, and Solution-based products for other team members to finalize and/or approve; demonstrate strong attention to detail and effective written communication skills

Compensation
The projected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $00,000 annually. Actual compensation and starting salaries are determined based on various factors, including the education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and clearance level of the candidate, and internal equity. Once at The Clearing, movement through pay bands is based on performance. Base-annual salary is just one component of The Clearing's total compensation philosophy and approach.
