- Provide assistance with technical design and level of effort needed by estimating hours and highlighting logistical challenges for the sales team to consider while pricing the opportunity.
- Generate functional system descriptions and block diagram
- Identify all cabling and miscellaneous material needs
- Assist Account Manager with labor and material estimates for projects
- Assume ownership of project installation when required
- Develop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculation, acoustical modeling or other data as required
- Provide on-going engineering support and assist with project sign-off
- Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate product as requested

Nice-To-Haves:
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- At least five years of AV experience is preferred
- A minimum of 1-2 years of AV experience plus a four year degree or military experience may be considered
- Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc.) – both hardware and software
- AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred

Essential Functions :

- Collaborate with Marketing to conduct research and create design proposals for projects.
- Create concepts, performance, and production criteria.
- Design, build, and test prototypes.
- Provide product cost estimates.

- Work with Global Suppliers to optimize and document designs for production.
- Conduct design reviews with the Manufacturing, Finance, Sales and Marketing
- Create BOM’s and routings in ERP System.
- Provide manufacturing and production support for new products and continuous improvement of existing products
- Interact with manufacturing, quality, and line personnel to implement new designs into production.
- Must be able to interact with internal and external customers for conceptual ideas
- Must have design experience designing parts for CNC, injection modeling and castings.
Basic Qualifications
- . B.S. or higher in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience on a product engineering team, with a focus on quality, reliability, and commercialization.
- Proven experience in precision manufacturing and design for manufacture.
- Project management experience,
- Knowledge and experience with supplier management.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), project and time management skills.
- Microsoft Office and 3D CAD modeling experience required; SolidWorks preferred.
- Some Travel required to production facilities to evaluate processes.
- Firearm and Accessory experience along with a knowledge of the shooting sports industry strongly preferred.
Working Conditions :
- This position does require Safety Glasses for personal protective equipment. MUST CHECK AND USE POSTED PPE FOR SPECIFIC TASK-POSTED IN JOB AREA.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work :
- This is a full-time position, Days and hours of work week are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
- Willing to work outside standard working hours as needed.
- Some travel may be required.
Physical Requirements :
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
