Technical Lead Engineer
+ Support the program and contractor PM throughout the solution lifecycle.
+ Responsible for the architectural design, performance, and integration of the systems.
+ Serves as technical point-of-contact for the program.
+ Oversee and validate all design, integration and testing of the systems prior to installation into production, ensure that the systems meet all technical requirements, and proactively monitor the overall functionality and performance of the systems.

Basic Qualifications:

Scope of Work:
The Technical Lead will oversee and support a ~15-20-person technical team to sustain and develop modifications for the ETIMS (JAVA/C++ with Oracle backend) enterprise application which is hosted on the AWS Cloud infrastructure. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Technical Lead Data Engineer to help lead the development and optimization of our modern cloud data platform infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about data architecture, and has a deep understanding of data transformation, modeling, and orchestration using modern tools like dbt-core, Snowflake, and Python.

Onsite Requirements: Following the hybrid schedule of in office Monday and Wednesday
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable data pipelines using dbt-core, Python, and SQL to support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives.
- Design and optimize data models in Snowflake to support efficient querying and storage.
- Lead the development and maintenance of our data warehouse, ensuring data quality, governance, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver robust solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices for version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and data pipeline monitoring.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the data platform.
- Provide on-going support for the existing ELT/ETL processes and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
- 8+ years documented experience with ETL Tools (e.g. Informatica, Data Stage, SSIS, etc.)
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
- Experience with dbt-core for data modeling and transformation.
- Strong hands-on experience cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) and cloud data platforms (Snowflake).
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows. Familiarity with Microsoft VSCode or similar IDEs. Knowledge of Azure DevOps or Gitlab development operations and job scheduling tools.
- Solid understanding of modern data warehousing architecture, dimensional modeling, ELT/ETL frameworks and data modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing batch and streaming data pipelines to support near real-time and large-scale data processing needs.

- Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) is a plus.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is:

Job Summary:
As a Technical Lead on the IT Platforms team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development, testing, and release processes for Travel Insurance platforms. The IT Platforms engineering team serves as the backbone for all development efforts within the CSA line of business.
Principal Duties:
- Technical Leadership : Provide leadership by developing and maintaining code, supporting B2B, B2C, and B2B2C customer-facing platforms.

- Cloud Services : Proficient in AWS services and infrastructure, including AWS SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway/Portal, Route 53, EBS, Fargate, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- CI/CD and Version Control : Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, branch management, release builds, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
