Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is searching for a Technical Lead - Program Principal Engineer to support our work for the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), an institute of the National Institutes of Health. This opportunity is full time and onsite at the NIH-NCBI in Bethesda, MD and/or remote work.
As a Program Principal Engineer, you will be directing Technical Leads and Teams to ensure architectural cohesion and collaboration within the program; for assigned projects, you will be responsible for all phases of software development, from vision, architecture, and design, to implementation, production rollout, and operations. You will collaborate with the Program Head, Technical Program Manager, and other Program Principal Engineers across programs, forming close relationships to enable effective communication, encouraging staff growth and knowledge sharing, guiding technological innovation, and ensuring sustainable software development practices and service delivery. Responsibilities include:
- Manage the efforts of the program's software development team in an Agile framework
- Work with a diverse group of scientists, bioinformaticians and other developers across the center to implement efficient bioinformatics algorithms
- Provide work estimates for development tasks
- Ensure on-schedule delivery of software solutions for the product line and organization
- Manage the development lifecycle of software for assigned products
- Research new technologies in pursuit of advancing the goals of the program and product line
- Direct and coordinate the actions of the development team
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team
- Act as a liaison between the development team and program leadership
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to the product line

Maxar is currently seeking Technical team lead for our 3D R&D team in Herndon, VA .
Our solutions
3D is our core and our solutions all originates from our unique 3D geodata with the world's highest quality based on commercial satellite images. Our 3D visualisation, analyses , geo-registering and navigation tools , and data models offer decision-makers all over the world a very accurate 3D basis for use in areas such as navigation security, defense , and infrastructure.
What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):
As the technical lead you will lead a team a s well as act a s a Software Developer with in the team . Y ou will work in agile teams with algorithm development. This new team is being establish ed at a Maxar office in Westminster or Herndon and will work closely with the teams in the Swedish organization. The software development is done in a variety of languages, including C, C++, Go, Python, Javascript and Rust; mainly in a Linux environment. Your work also includes conducting a dialogue with stakeholders and transforming their requirements and wishes into a realized product. We are leading the production of the Globe in 3D from satellite images, where we have full access to the best and largest satellite archive available. Your work also includes conducting a dialogue with stakeholders and transforming their requirements and wishes into products. We are a world leading 3D image processing company especially with satellite images, where we have full access to the best and largest satellite archive available. Examples of applications are: stereo algorithms, mesh and voxel processing, georegistration of images and georegistration of video sequences in real time. In short almost all image processing / computer vision challenges in 3D+time, to build a living Globe in 3D.
The Maxar 3D Production software is used by ~ 80 operators to create and export 3D data by using state-of-the-art HPC technologies both on-prem and in the cloud. Our 3D Content Management Systems are deployed at several different customer sites. We have produced 100 million square km of 3D data to date.
The team you will be accountable for will have skill set as described below and even if not all the skillset will be fully developed in all the team members you are expected to lead the activities.
Minimum requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to apply for and hold a US Government Secret National Security Clearance .
MS degree in computer science, electrical engineering, signal processing or related area.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
Science fundamentals, i.e.:
Basic knowledge of computer hardware architectures
Solid understanding of operating systems concepts
Knowledge of complex data structures
Familiar with memory management and memory layout
Skilled in process concurrency - processes/threads, synchronization, etc.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $132,000.00 - $220,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Saab, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Lead Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced technical expertise for Saab 340 and/or 2000 aircraft. This individual will serve as a key interface between Saab and its global customers, offering technical guidance, diagnostics, and issue resolution for legacy aircraft systems and components.
*The role is based in Ashburn, VA, but remote work may be considered for candidates with direct Saab 340 or 2000 technical support experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on the Saab 340 and/or 2000, including airframes, engines, and systems.
- Provide advanced technical assistance to field engineers, technicians, customers, and product support personnel.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex maintenance and repair issues.
- Manage customer relationships across domestic and international markets.
- Lead customer installations, training, and on-site technical support efforts.
- Evaluate and respond to customer needs by developing tailored solutions.

Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:

- Proven experience supporting technical operations, product support, or customer service in the aerospace sector.
