Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. **The Role**
Reporting to the Global Head of Brand Marketing Culture, theArt Directoris responsible for the execution of the visual identity and creative direction for our brand. Bringing a mix of artistic, marketing and business expertise to the position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative and engaging visual concepts and campaigns that align with our brand strategy and business objectives. You will oversee the development of creative assets, from concept to final delivery, ensuring that all creative work is on-brand, on-time, and on-budget.

Responsibilities will include:
Creative Vision & Brand Identity
+ Develop and execute bold, innovative visual concepts and integrated campaigns that consistently elevate Hyatt Lifestyle Brands' identity across all platforms.
+ Own and refine the brand's core visual language including logos, typography, color systems, and design standards to maintain a unified and compelling aesthetic as directed by the Global Head Brand Marketing Culture and the President Creative Director, The Lifestyle Group.
+ Ensure all creative outputs-whether internal or external-adhere to rigorous brand guidelines and legal compliance, maintaining a high standard of quality and authenticity.
Stay at the forefront of design innovation by tracking industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative tools to push the brand's visual storytelling forward.
Photography, Creative Campaign Content and Social Media
+ Lead the creative vision for brand campaign photoshoots, working closely with photographers, stylists, and creative studios to craft compelling visual stories that resonate across social and traditional channels.
+ Lead the creative vision for brand campaign photoshoots and come with a black book of photography and production contacts plus creative studio. Negotiate contracts, fees, and usage rights with talent and vendors.
+ Collaborate with Social Media and Marketing teams to develop vibrant, on-brand visual content that fuels audience engagement and brand affinity across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
+ Ensure campaign visuals are adaptable, consistent, and optimized for varied social media formats and storytelling trends.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Direct and mentor the Graphic Design team, nurturing their creative growth and ensuring delivery of superior, brand-aligned creative assets. Manage team assignments, allocate resources, and assign tasks to team members effectively. Track project progress and performance using project management tools.
+ Facilitate strong collaboration between creative, marketing, product, and operational teams to harmonize visual communications and brand messaging.
+ Manage relationships with freelance artists, creative agencies, and vendors, integrating external talent to expand creative capabilities and bring fresh perspectives.
+ Champion a culture of creative excellence, inclusivity, and continuous learning within the team.
Digital & Online Presence
+ Lead creative strategy for all digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, digital advertising, and email marketing to deliver seamless and impactful user experiences.
+ Oversee the production of digital assets that maximize engagement, conversion, and brand awareness through compelling UX/UI design, animation, and interactive content.
+ Collaborate with web developers, digital marketers, and UX teams to ensure design consistency, responsiveness, and optimization across all devices and platforms.
+ Drive innovation in digital storytelling by integrating multimedia, video, and motion graphics to enhance Hyatt's lifestyle narrative online.
Print & Physical Media
+ Oversee design and production of print collateral such as brochures, direct mail, packaging, event materials, signage, and environmental graphics that reinforce brand positioning in physical spaces.
+ Manage partnerships with external print vendors and production houses to guarantee the highest quality output while optimizing cost and timelines.
+ Guide the Graphic Design team in executing flawless print projects, from concept development through proofing and final delivery.
Project Management & Execution
+ Own the full lifecycle of creative projects-prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, managing timelines, and controlling budgets to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
+ Work closely with project managers and associate creative directors to develop realistic schedules, set clear milestones, and monitor progress across multiple concurrent projects.
+ Present and articulate creative work and strategic rationale to senior leadership and external partners, driving alignment and informed decision-making.

+ Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
+ 5 years of experience in art direction, preferably in an agency or brand environment.
+ Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative work across different mediums, including digital and print.
+ Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
+ Experience inlogo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection, layout, prototyping and package design as well as strong presentation deck building.
+ Ability to present creative work internally and to outside parties.
