The Rotating Machinery Mechanical Design Engineer is key in coordinating the resources and activities required to support new designs, design reviews, detailed analysis, and work instructions to produce top of the line quality

**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Own design activities through life of development programs (from concept through detail design to production release).
+ Develop CAD 3D models and associated drawings and other documentation.
+ Design high speed rotating assemblies including shafts, housings, bearing cooling flow paths, seals, etc.
+ Support high speed bearing selection and design.
+ Support strategic new business opportunities and IR&D efforts including rapid iterations to at least a preliminary machine cross section
+ Support structural analysis team in generating deliverables such as rotor dynamics analysis and containment analysis.
+ Work closely with the Systems Engineer, performance engineers, aerodynamicists, structural engineers, and program team to ensure designs meet technical and program requirements.
+ Develop and maintain standard engineering methods and tools used to develop new designs.
+ Manage the development and implementation of new designs through design analysis, risk mitigation, review of safety factors & stack-ups, reliability tools, schedules, and design reviews.
+ Verify designs have adequate Safety Factors prior to releasing to production. Work with customer/ redesign if required to obtain producible designs.
+ Collaborate closely with customers to ensure product performance and integration into end platform.
+ Review and approve documentation for transition from prototype to production.
+ Provide engineering support to trouble shoot and diagnose non-performing product.
+ When assigned, oversee the failure analysis process providing support and final review of all reports.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
+ **Must have a minimum 5 years** **experience in the mechanical layout and design of high-speed turbomachinery (speed greater than 30,000 RPM) for aerospace applications including axial fans, centrifugal blowers, centrifugal and/or mixed flow compressors, and radial inflow and axial turbines. Plus experience with designing internal machine gas paths and seals for motor and bearing cooling**
+ Willingness to travel up to 10%
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Minimum 1 year of CAD experience (preferably in SolidWorks and/or NX)
+ Experience with PDM Vault and / or Teamcenter

Based in Florida, you'll work with the Resident Engineers and Superintendents to ensure technical documentation is up to date, including submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents. As part of the design-build team, you'll work with the best professionals in the business managing the project subcontractors and reporting to the Design-Build Manager. Your role will be to coordinate subcontractors throughout construction, commissioning, closeout, and turnover to the owner. Following the project scope, schedules and budgets, you will ensure the project remains on task. Client presentations, weekly construction meetings, and applying critical thinking skills to resolve problems out in the field on the project are tasks associated with this role.

* Monitor and supervise health and safety including active participation in tool box talks
* Manage the receipt, storage and handling of process equipment.

* Manage and track project submittals, requests for changes, design changes, and nonconformance notices

**Qualifications**
**Education:**

+ Experience owning the installation, commissioning, and validation activities for automated process equipment in a regulated medical device industry.

**Qualifications**
**Education:**
+ A minimum of bachelor's degree is required (preferably in Engineering) A Masters in Science, Engineering, or Business is highly preferred.
**Required:**
+ At least 8 years experience leading multi- functional teams to deliver capital projects to plan within a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience owning the installation, commissioning, and validation activities for automated process equipment in a regulated medical device industry.
+ This includes familiarity with FDA regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
+ Experience developing budgets and business case proposals that lead to the acquiring of capital appropriations in excess of $1M USD.
+ Proven track record to effectively estimate cash flows and actively manage project spend to achieve accurate results to forecast.

This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to delivering technical solutions while collaborating directly with clients to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects such as server installations, upgrades, and domain migrations.
- Configure and deploy Office 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Design and implement secure network solutions, including firewalls, switches, wireless systems, and VPN configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and perform technical upgrades as part of project execution.
- Work closely with clients to gather requirements, create implementation plans, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers during project tasks and implementations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and project outcomes in appropriate systems.
- Ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within defined scope, and aligned with client objectives. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a project engineering role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365 migrations.
- Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
- Hands-on experience with SonicWall and Ubiquiti devices is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to lead technical projects from initial planning to successful completion.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Self-driven and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

**Summary**
The Senior Project Engineer supports field activities and spends a majority of time working with the Project Manager supporting project administration on multiple small projects, or one medium to large-sized project. This position often functions as the "go to person," and may have supervisory responsibilities for support functions such as Document Control, QA/QC, Project Scheduler, Project Cost Controller, etc.

+ Supports the Project Manager by reviewing and negotiating change orders and tracks status

+ Approves field purchase orders for standard purchase packages
+ Analyzes project financial performance and participates in the project financial reviews

**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years' of experience, or 8 years' of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Basic understanding of construction software such as Primavera, Timberline
+ Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets
+ Requires ability to maneuver in and out of job site trailers and various stages of job site terrains
+ Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel
+ Regularly required to sit, talk and listen
+ Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
+ Must have the ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 20 pounds
