**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Senior Business Management Specialist manages all commercial aspects for Advanced Energy's Critical Sensing and Control (CSC) product group. The CSC product group provides optical and fluoroptic temperature measurement, radio frequency (RF) measurement, thermal imaging, and blackbody calibration sources for customers serving the semiconductor, industrial, power and transmission, and military and aerospace markets. The person in this role takes the lead in developing pricing strategies, implementing and maintain pricing for online quoting tools, reviews customer project return on investment (ROI), and works with account managers for customer quote approvals. They may also assist in annual business planning, demand forecasting, and quarterly revenue tracking.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Drive commercial issues to closure, develop business quotations and recommendations based on knowledge of their customer, markets, analysis, and data gathered internally, which is presented with the product marketing counterpart for approval before formally releasing to sales (customer).
+ Support the preparation of customer price negotiation cycle, and subsequently ensuring that the commercial terms (price, incoterms, validity etc.) are correct and current.
+ Drive growth and ensure profitability targets of their customer and market segment are met, developing plans and actions to meet these business targets.
+ Communicate across the entire organization to get pertinent information that they process to formulate a sound recommendation to senior management.
+ Work as an individual contributor and as part of a team to manage their respective products.
+ Coordinate with the Account teams and necessary operation functions for customer meetings and visits to ensure expectations are met and follow up to close actions, as necessary.
+ Collaborate with the sales team to set sales targets, develop and execute sales growth strategies, including the monitoring of key customer opportunity progression, associated sales revenue and profitability associated with those strategies
+ Assists in segmentations, business planning, planning, product marketing strategies, portfolio management, negotiations & product forecasts.
+ Manage purchase order (PO) fulfillment and standard cost issues.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
+ This position is in Fort Collins, Colorado
+ Works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
+ Financial analysis capability, with solid understanding of financial management and budgeting principles.
+ Work as an individual contributor and as part of a team to manage their respective products.
**EXPERIENCE:**
**Essential:**
+ 5 years' experience in product management or related marketing position.
+ Knowledge of optical temperature measurement pyrometry or similar technology.
**Desirable:**
+ Minimum 5 years' experience within original equipment manufacturer (OEM) capital equipment market.
+ Knowledge of materials science and/or thermal dynamics.
+ Experience managing new product introduction (NPI) programs with cross-functional teams.
+ Experience driving thought leadership within target markets and with key customers.
**EDUCATION:**
+ B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
+ Advanced degree, including M.S., Ph.D., or MBA, is highly desirable.
**COMPENSATION:**
_As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $95,000 - $135,000 per year._
