Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Planning within the Sector Strategy organization. The Senior Manager will be an integral part of a fast-paced and dynamic team providing analytical, planning, and execution support for sector- and division-level strategic planning activities.
The selected individual will manage and execute projects across a wide range of responsibilities, including market analysis / forecasting, strategic competitive assessment, portfolio analysis, business case development, and all phases of inorganic strategy (mergers / acquisitions / divestitures, strategic partnerships, and strategic equity investments). In addition, the Senior Manager will lead special studies that may include the management of outside consultant teams; monitor and assess competitive and other market developments that may impact our strategic direction; help author a bi-weekly newsletter distributed to executives throughout the sector; and help to build the capabilities of the NGMS Strategy function through the mentoring of staff analysts, collaboration with related teams throughout the sector and corporation, and through the development of new tools, processes and products.
This role will report to the Director of Strategic Assessment, Planning, and Development and will be located in McLean, VA or Linthicum, MD. Remote work arrangements will be considered.
Successful candidates will be fast learners with strong communication and organizational skills, a dedication to producing quality, high-impact work, and capable of performing both as individual contributors and as parts of a team. Qualified candidates will also have demonstrated knowledge of and experience with market & competitive analysis, inorganic strategy execution, the Aerospace & Defense industry, and the government budgeting & acquisition process. Excellent writing, presentation, database manipulation, and modeling skills are required.
**Basic Qualifications:**
*Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience
*A minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in market and competitive assessment, financial analysis, MA&D processes, and business case development
*Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize market, competitive, business, and financial insights from multiple sources
*Strong communication (oral and written) and problem-solving skills
*Robust work ethic, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the capacity to function with minimal guidance
*Knowledge of and experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
*Knowledge of government budgeting and acquisition processes
*Knowledge of defense electronics and information systems markets / competitors
*Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
*US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
*Experience in strategic planning, corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, or private equity
*MBA degree
*Experience in a management role
*Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
*Current DOD Secret or Top Secret clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $255,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) has an immediate opening for a **Senior Manager of Strategic Planning** . This position reports to Mclean, VA or Linthicum, Maryland. Remote candidates too will be considered. This position plays a critical role driving the Center's long-term growth.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading strategic planning and business development for the NGMC and will report to the Senior Director for Strategy & Growth. The candidate will provide derive the center's strategic planning process and will support industry intelligence analysis, market analysis and business case analysis. The successful candidate will also support NCTA (R&D) planning and allocation, develop presentations on NGMC priorities to senior management, and support external communications. The candidate will work closely with a broader support team of subject matter experts from the NGMC organization, other NG organizations and external consultants in leading these areas under the direction of the Senior Director. Basic Qualifications:
