Our client, a dynamic and growing enterprise, is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US. The role is instrumental in supporting strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to drive informed business decisions and optimize financial performance. Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, long-range financial plans, and periodic forecasts.
• Prepare comprehensive financial analysis, variance explanations, and performance reports for senior management.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, new business ventures, and investment decisions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of key financial metrics, profitability drivers, and operational KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and support their budgeting needs.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the organization.

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting.
• Stay current with accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
• Develop and refine financial reporting tools and processes.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of the finance team.
• Evaluate the financial implications of strategic partnerships and M&A activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is a strong plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or strategic planning.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance principles and accounting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program
+ **Program Dates:** May 29 - August 7, 2026.
+ **Location** : This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.
+ **Work Authorization** : US Work Authorization required for this role.
Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
**The Main Responsibilities**
This intern will be aligned to our Enterprise Operations organization and will support the centralized fiber planning team which manages the capacity of Lumen's national fiber network, which includes maintaining and augmenting over 78,000 miles of long-haul and metro fiber routes. The team is responsible for ensuring the network remains consumable for both internal network teams and external sales, dealing with issues such as rapid capacity consumption by large customers, aging infrastructure, and the integration of multiple legacy inventory systems.
+ Contribute to real-world network capacity challenges,
+ Focus on spatial analysis, GIS platforms (such as Esri ArcPro/ArcMap), and automation of capacity constraint analysis.
+ Gain exposure to both the technical and strategic aspects of network planning, including migration efforts and data manipulation.
+ Work closely with the team to address current migration and capacity planning projects.
**What We Look For in a Candidate**
**Required qualifications**
+ Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
+ Graduating August 2026 - May 2028
+ Preferred fields include but not limited to: Engineering, Infromation Technology, Computer Science
**Proficiency and understanding of:**
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Preferably with an engineering or computer science background and experience with GIS tools. identify blind spots
+ Approach problems creatively
+ Provide fresh perspectives on data analysis and network optimization
**Compensation**
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.
**Hourly Based Pay Range:**
Min: $ 26/hour
Max: $ 38/hour
