The position is focused primarily on scientific support services within Unity Lab Services core offerings of: Stockroom and point-of-use inventory management, sourcing and order management, dock management and laboratory support services.
**What will you do?**
+ Make on-site program replenishments and disbursements. Performs stockroom duties to include: receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.
+ Follows well defined Best Practices, SOP's & work instructions. Take direction from Manager (and Team Lead where appropriate) regarding daily duties.
+ Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements without the presence of site trainer and management team.
+ Listens to customer concerns, diffuses dissatisfaction, and quickly identifies course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times
+ Proactively communicates with supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems.

**How will you get here?**
+ Background for minimum of 3-5 Years in warehousing and logistics preferred
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
**Experience:**
+ Experience in logistics operations and warehousing preferred
+ Preferred 2 Year experience in attention to detail, problem solving and working in a team environment, preferably within a laboratory setting or services
+ Some first leadership experience preferred
+ Validated customer service skills with shown verbal and written skills
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
+ Possesses a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
+ Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates as needed.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $5.26- 22.89.

Overview
Based in the first line of defense (1LoD), the Issue Management Specialist, Asset Management Global Control, is responsible for oversight, reporting and execution of the issue management framework, and assisting control owners within the Asset Management business unit with developing and maintaining a sustainable control framework.
Supporting control owners will primarily be achieved by performing reviews on existing controls, providing timely guidance for enhancing controls identified as requiring remediation (e.g., Risk Control Self-Assessment, Internal Audit, Regulatory, or Internal Testing), and validating that the enhanced controls are operating effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform periodic reviews of existing processes to identify opportunities for control enhancement.
- Maintain a robust understanding on the interconnectivity of internal documents governing our Risk Management Lifecycle (e.g., identify, assess, measure, treat and control, and monitor and report risks) as well as the tools and systems that support them.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to Control Owners and Issue Owners on the Risk Management Lifecycle.
- Support Issue Owners and/or Issue Identifiers in accurate documentation of root cause analysis, impact analysis, severity ratings and corresponding remediation actions.
- Review evidence provided by Issue Owner to validate remediation actions were implemented as required and meet all acceptance criteria to close the issue.
- Monitor the status of remediation actions and provide periodic updates to applicable stakeholders.
- 7+ years of experience working in risk, control, audit or related function at a large financial institution
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to effectively challenge key stakeholders and develop and present materials effectively
- Outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to rapidly adapt to change and shifting business profiles
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within and across global project teams, functional areas, business units and all lines of defense
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivotable, Data Sorting)
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making capabilities; and
- Excellent prioritization skills and comfort dealing with ambiguity.
Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
