Responsibilities:
- Leverages experience in product and/or underwriting to provide strategic input and make actionable recommendations pertaining to line of business focus, including the development of guidelines and product strategies for commercial lines (Workers' Compensation, Auto, BOP, Property, Liability)
- Owns portfolio analysis, accepting guidance from line of business leader on KPIs

- Collaborate with training and marketing to develop communication, training, and marketing materials in support of new or enhanced products and initiatives. May require delivery of training materials or content.
- Outline post implementation monitoring and measurement mechanisms for line of business specific strategies in support of outlined success criteria. Collaborate with Strategic Business Analysis Unit to analyze and refine results.
- Conduct competitor intelligence research.
- Demonstrate awareness of each state's regulatory environment and legislative rules to ensure that compliance standards are met.

The Product Manager or Senior Product Manager will play a crucial role in defining the product vision, strategy, roadmap and backlog for one or more products. An ideal candidate would have successfully led a product from concept to launch and managed the product for continued success. Job Summary
Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Aladdin Temp-Rite’s new product development (NPD) plan and ongoing product lifecycle management of Aladdin’s existing product portfolio, which product rationalization, product prioritization, product development, data reporting, financial analysis, providing product support to internal and external customers, gathering competitor intelligence, and supporting the development of product and marketing collateral.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the NPD process by supporting the documentation and prioritization of customer needs, Sales team requests, competitor offerings, and industry trends.
- Work closely and communicate cross-functionally with critical parties in Purchasing, Manufacturing, Planning, Pricing, Customer Service, Engineering, and Sales to ensure timely execution of product launch and discontinuation plans.
- Monitor sales performance and analyze trends of new and existing products on a weekly basis.
- Assess competitive products and industry trends and identify opportunities and changes in competitive offerings and positioning.
- Initiate part number setup requests.
- Manage sales sample program including new sample setup and ongoing catalog maintenance.
- Monitor inventory of closeout products and coordinate their obsolescence after inventory depletion.
- Ensure the timely implementation of new product launch plans including development of internal communications, product collateral, website product listings, conducting product training, and coordinating the distribution of NPD samples.
- Provide marketing, technical, and product application support to internal and external customers.
- Assist with planning and coordination of tradeshow booths, MarCom projects, photoshoots, and product demonstrations.
- Support product line simplification and rationalization efforts by providing in-depth analysis of financial metrics (sales, margin, pricing, costs, etc.) and presenting recommendations and strategies for maximizing sales and profitability while reducing inventory exposure.
- Analyze margin impact of cost reduction initiatives, product changes, and/or improvements.
- Liaise with Purchasing and Planning regarding factors that may cause significant shifts in demand.

Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in business-related computer software (Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Strong MS Excel skills (proficiency with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and IF statements required)
- General knowledge of ERP systems and associated reporting tools. (JD Edwards preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to process and analyze large sets of raw data and interpret information within.
- Ability to read and comprehend tables, charts, graphs, and diagrams containing various types of technical information.
- Experience gathering information from multiple sources and presenting to others in a clear and concise manner.
- Mathematical skills required to accurately calculate and analyze product costs, margin, and other financial metrics.
- Organized self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required
Education and Experience Requirements
- BA/BS in related field required
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant technical product experience in a manufacturing environment gained as a product engineer, product manager, or similar role with a strong focus on the development of products that are technical in nature.
- Web content management and product/marketing collateral development experience is a plus.
- Foodservice equipment industry experience is strongly preferred.

**You'll have.**
+ Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
+ 4+ years of experience in a Product Manager or similar role with responsibilities including defining product vision, strategy, product roadmaps, prioritizing product features and building and managing backlogs within a software development environment.
+ 3+ years of experience working with Agile software methodologies (Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban) or similar.
