The Site Quality Leader - Edison Works Component and Assembly will provide strategic and technical leadership to drive Zero Defect Culture and Proactive Quality in Edison Works shops. The person in this role will lead the Edison Works shop quality team and will partner with the site leadership teams.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
Strategic
+ The Site Quality Leader is the owner of Zero-Defect Culture and Proactive Quality in Edison Works shops
+ Own and coordinate in-process, delivered and systems quality strategy and execution
+ Lead team in RCCA process establishment and standard work for Quality investigations
+ Lead and coach shop personnel on Quality Culture and engagement
+ Champion the Lean transformation of EW Quality team, leading kaizen on the shop floor and providing subject matter expertise on methods and tools such as Problem Solving
Organizational
+ Lead/guide/mentor/develop team of Quality Engineers to drive quality KPI metric improvement
+ Work with horizontal component and assembly Aerospace quality teams to drive read across, best practices, Quality System excellence, and continuous improvement
+ Serve as Edison Works Quality interface with customer activities
Operational
+ Drive Quality operational excellence through assured performance to site level KPIs and daily management
+ Establish and Maintain strong customer and regulatory compliance
+ Create daily/weekly/monthly Quality operating rhythms
+ Facilitate quality team MOM operating system coordination and feedback applicable to site quality systems and tools
+ Create robust quality management practices and Quality System standardization from NPI launch accuracy through customer fulfillment
+ Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact Edison Works shops and shop quality. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Operations, or related field
+ Minimum of 5 years of Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related experience
+ **Must be a US Citizen**
+ **Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance**
+ Requires strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of Quality System execution and product quality/manufacturing processes.
+ Experience in data analytics, Lean, six sigma methodologies preferred

The Quality Assurance Manager develops and leads Quality Assurance system to assure that manufacturing processes will produce products that meet required Product Standards as described in AS9100 and Quality Assurance Manual. This is a key change agent position accountable for results, with minimal guidance, in the assigned areas of responsibilities. This position will be responsible for developing strategies, priorities and directing implementation in the assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the Quality Assurance department:
- Supervise and appraise performance for all Quality Assurance personnel; hire, train and recommend salary adjustments for reporting employees.
- Schedule and track Inspection, lab, and testing activities in order to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
- Interprets pertinent customer, corporate and division quality standards for plant personnel; develops and maintains site procedures and processes in support of division Quality Assurance Manual. Leads and promotes the quality assurance philosophy including preventive quality systems.
- Implements/maintains procedures for inspection, disposition and record retention for incoming raw materials and components, reviews quality issues with suppliers and provides supplier surveillance assistance as needed.
- Proactively involved in corrective action and problem-solving strategies. Actively pursues and identifies root cause of non-conformance, is responsible for measurement of non-conformance costs and secures and maintains data collection and statistical systems to aid in process control, root cause problem identification. Coordinates regular management meetings to review corrective action and quality systems. Publishes regular reports and identified trends.
- Interfaces with Customers, Engineering and Operations to identify requirements, plan for product realization and support continuous improvements in manufacturing processes and systems.
- Ensures that Gage calibration system is effective and complies with company operating procedures. Maintains a system for calibrating all key inspection, gaging and process instruments and works with vendors to improve inspection techniques and equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with Nadcap, AS9100, and Industry regulatory requirements. Coordinate and conduct customer and accreditation audits. Enhance and implement the internal audit system and associated corrective actions. Leads training efforts for HFS-Carson employees with regard to total preventive quality.
- Develop effective relationships with all levels of staff and functional groups. Possess an ability to influence outcomes, with higher-order communication, change management, and influencing skills.
- Be a skilled people manager and developer that deeply understands the importance of challenging, motivating, and developing high-performance teams. Enjoy and have experience in coaching and mentoring others to achieve success in fluid, project/team-based environments.

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience with preventive Quality Systems or relative military experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory level experience over seeing Quality Systems

Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years in a manufacturing environment or combination of relevant military experience.
- Preferred ASQ Certifications: CQE, CQM, CRE or CSSBB
- Minimum of 2 years working with NADCAP requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory level experience over seeing Quality Systems
- Knowledge of Aerospace product/process specification requirements (AMS, ASTM, etc.)
- Experience in product and process failure analysis and an understanding of quality principles (SPC, TQM, MRB etc.)
