**Position Summary and Highlights:**
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is hiring a Customer Service Aide to support the Food and Nutrition Services Department. The position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by taking patient meal orders, interfacing with department technology and assuring quality of the food to maximize positive patient experiences.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Receive patient meal orders from patient or provider through the use of CBORD, PowerChart, and wireless tablet/phone.
+ Deliver patient meals to room, verifies correctness of meal ticket and assists patients with tray table and opening food items as appropriate.
+ Document patient food intake following meals and collect feedback.
+ Remove trays from patient rooms and returns the soiled trays to the kitchen.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
+ Previous experience in hospital food service helpful but not required.
**Work Schedule:**
We are seeking a PRN per diem employee who is available for work on an as-needed basis. This flexible schedule gives you the ability to diversify your working experience and skills. Shifts can include weekends, weekdays and holidays.

Purpose
Prepares and serves food and performs cashiering functions to students and teachers in a school environment; performs related work as required.
Performance Responsibilities
This is a food service support position with the primary function to provide general preparation, serving, cashiering and clean-up support to assist other food service staff. Duties may include baking, food preparation, serving, cashiering and clean-up; following health and safety guidelines; working within District and department specific processes and procedures. The work is performed under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager. The primary duties of this class are performed in a kitchen and cafeteria environment.
Essential Duties
- Performs cashiering duties including entering customer transactions, handling cash, balancing cash drawer;
- Prepares food within an established system following standardized recipes, preparation and serving methods to ensure customer acceptance;
- Prepares and serves food items using required tools such as knives, spoons, dippers;
- Operates standard and specialized kitchen equipment such as mixer, slicer, dishwasher, oven, and related equipment;
- Maintains required forms and records as assigned;
- Attends approved training classes;
- Follows defined standards of sanitation for personnel, food preparation and kitchen equipment;
- Understands the accepted procedures for operating, cleaning and caring for each major piece of equipment;
- Follows established procedures for service and distribution of meals;
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies, procedures and safety practices.

**Job Summary**
**Summary:** Maintains kitchen work areas, and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Sweeps and mops floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
+ Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
+ Removes trash and places it into designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
+ Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
+ Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up.
+ Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
+ Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
+ Complies with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant Cook, you will oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department, which involves operating the following stations: Food Production, Grill, Fryer and other tasks if applicable.
Cook tasks in the restaurant may include:
* Preparing and cooking food orders to meet product quality standards
* Food preparation and portioning
* Packaging all menu items and checking for product quality and consistency
* Cleaning including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counter-tops and sanitizing food area
SONIC Drive-In Restaurant Cook Requirements:
* Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
* Ability to be flexible in all situations based on business need
* Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC Drive-In restaurants
* General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations preferred, but not required
