+ Responsible for working mainly self-contained electric meters on residential and commercial accounts.
+ Perform disconnects on residential and commercial accounts due to non-payment of bill. Install and remove different types of locks for tampering prevention.
+ Must render excellent customer service in a professional manner while handling customers in the field.
+ Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours as required. Position requires the ability to work outside in all types of weather, in unusual surroundings as well as normal conditions. Must be available for call outs. Be fully capable of performing other related tasks as assigned.
+ Complete daily work tickets, timesheets, and respond as needed through digital format applications.
+ Maintain a valid driver's license.
+ Assist in storm restoration efforts as needed.
+ Know and practice Entergy's applicable safety rules and safe work procedures at all times. Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.

The Transit Information Service Installer applies and installs of all pieces of transit information, including bus stop signs, shelter signs, long-term rider alerts, maps, holders, poles, and special installations. Provides work direction to support staff and vendors; and is responsible for overseeing inventory and maintaining accurate information within a database.
What you would do in this job
- Apply new route information to bus stop signs prior to work pick and for weekly service changes.
- Verify completed signs match pick or weekly service change information.
- Document all completed signs and verify installation matches instructions.
- Identify specific hardware and tools necessary to perform work at all locations prior to pick.
- Procure any new tools or hardware in advance of pick in order to perform installation.
- Conduct annual audit of bus stop and shelter signs; prepare list of locations that have not been updated within previous year.
- Apply new route information to aluminum sign blanks; direct installation of all locations and verify accuracy of installations.
- Update or replace irregular holders and displays at any location displaying transit information.
Education Experience :
- High School diploma/GED
- 18 months of experience in building facilities maintenance or repair activities (e.g. cleaning, landscape and snow removal), preferably with Metro Transit.
- 6 months of experience with installing signs, holders, displays, and poles; or similar hardware.
- Valid Class D Driver's License and good driving record.
- Knowledge of Metro Transit's bus stop sign program.
- Extensive knowledge of Metro Transit's route system, and operating policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Metro Transit's route system, and operating policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of various hardware and tools necessary for installation of bus stop signs, shelter signs, long-term rider alerts, maps, holders, poles, and special installations.

A reasonable estimate of base salary for this role ranges between $23.49 - $29.59/hour.
