ALC in Albuquerque NM has an opportunity for a seasoned professional in Project Management for the Government Service Sector, who works independently, supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets for projects, facilitates project tasks with various functional organizations, forecast project revenues, tracks progress, identifies project problems, procurement of materials and recommends resolutions.
This is an onsite role at various project locations (travel up to 2-3 hours on a regular basis to these locations) around the state of New Mexico and in our office in Albuquerque NM.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects, responsibilities i.e. prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met
- Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete projects
- Gather and manage data to monitor projects' progress in terms of cost, schedule and technical specifications
- Prepare and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to ensure that established targets are met
- Identify and escalate project problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Partner with various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of Project Management experience or working in a project team environment
- 2+ years of experience in the Building Construction Industry, HVAC and/or Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Valid Driver's License
- Able to obtain a government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- PMP Certification
- Experience in risk management, project financial reporting, project management, project planning, project estimation, project monitoring
- Strong problem-solving skills

SPD-3 instructed relevant US government agencies to begin re-assigning many aspects of space traffic management (STM) and space traffic coordination (STC) serving non-military US space operators. NOAA OSC, under the US Department of Commerce (DOC),was identified to lead many of these efforts as part of a 'whole of government' approach.
TraCSS is the Office of Space Commerce's cloud-based enterprise solution for ingesting, archiving, processing, and disseminating Space Situational Awareness (SSA) data and products. It will provide conjunction analysis and warning services to commercial satellite owner/operators to foster economic growth and technological advancement of the US commercial space industry. The system will store data from the Department of Defense (DoD), NOAA, commercial SSA data providers, commercial and civil satellite Owner/Operators (O/O), and select international civil partners. The TraCSS system will operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
Responsibilities:

Respond, as required, to operational issues relating to space traffic coordination, and to technical issues associated with the OSC Operations Center or TraCSS to ensure the safety and stability of the space operating environment.

- Stay well informed of all changes in systems and procedures to be able to inform and train Local Program staff on the changes
- Participate in daily team standup
- Perform other duties related to HPL eLicensing helpdesk.
- 3+ years of experience working as a business application customer help desk specialist
- Identify / troubleshoot / escalate / resolve issues
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent Telephone and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams and Atlassian JIRA
- Analytical thinking skills
