Overview

Under the directions of the Manager of Payment Services, this position is primarily responsible for reconciling previous day's payments, research and manage returned checks, manage expired Zelle process and submit stop payments for void or reissue. The position will also respond to payment status requests, cancellation of Ad Hoc checks returned to Accounts Payable and run settlement payment process daily.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel & Web applications. Knowledge of Univ. policies & procedures, computer hardware, software, peripherals & operating systems.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Serves as a principal source of information on rules and procedures governing University accounts receivable. Oversees and instructs support staff.
  • Oversees maintenance of account files, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Reviews payment histories.
  • Resolves problem and delinquent accounts with supervisor and collection agency. Assists with final review and disposition of problem accounts.
  • Recommends and implements changes to systems and operating procedures. Composes form letters and correspondence used in accounts receivable activities.
  • Researches individual accounts. Summarizes findings in reports. Completes and processes forms. Performs clerical functions incidental to account activity.

Required Education and Experience

Four years of related work experience, two of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or two years of related work experience and an Associate's degree, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for creating and sending out settlement statements for either sale or financing statements and uninsured files. With directions from the Borrower, Lender and Seller they include adding invoices, adding lender fees, payoffs, prorations and any other items directed by the parties to the statement and circulating drafts to the parties, managing correspondence throughout the transaction with the parties and updating statements accordingly as changes come over and working with the parties to finalize and send around executed statements once the parties agree to the costs.
+ Responsible for verifying wire instructions, creating and sending funding packages to our accounting team, making sure checks, invoices and FedEx labels are created and saved to the files for the accounting team to send out as well.
+ Once wires are initiated the settlement coordinators are also responsible for sending out confirmations of the wires to the parties with the Fed Reference numbers for their files.
+ Settlement is also engaged when deposits or funds need to be sent if a deal is cancelled or a deposit needs to be sent for Post-Closing items, or if another company is funding a closing.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements:**

Job Summary:

The Settlement House Case manager position is a multifaceted position that incorporates Case Management for at risk youth and their families while additionally facilitating youth program dedicated to the health growth of the youth who participate. The Settlement House Case Manager hosts weekly groups that focus on STEM, social well-being, and emotional health. The Settlement House Case Manager is additionally trained in Aggression Replacement Therapy, and other evidence-based curricula as needed.

Supervisory Duties:

This position has no supervisory duties.

Essential functions: Percent of time:

Screening and Social Care Navigation 40%

  • Assessing youths' physical and mental wellness, needs, preferences, and abilities and using these to develop tailored care plans
  • Working with clients, family and friend support networks and health care professionals to put care plans in place
  • Listening to clients' concerns and providing therapeutic intervention as required
  • Evaluating clients' progress periodically and adjusting as needed to improve outcomes
    • Following up with discharged clients to ensure they were satisfied with services, and they are still in good physical and mental health
  • Builds respectful, person-centered relationships with youth and young adults using a trauma-informed approach. Welcomes and works with youth of all backgrounds including LGBTQ youth.
  • Demonstrates increasing knowledge and understanding of youth and young adults' developmental opportunities and challenges
  • Acts as an advocate by referring participants or parents to services available in the community as needed (e.g., family planning, health insurance, etc.)

Facilitation of Evidence Based Programming 40%

  • Demonstrates comfort, confidence, objectivity, and full support for educating youth and young adults about self-esteem, health, and well-being.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to and cultural literacy about different opinions, sentiments, and beliefs.
  • Facilitates evidence-based curricula with fidelity to promote healthy wellbeing, and the ability to respond to everyday stressors without using aggression.
  • Administers pre- and post-surveys collecting student data from program sessions.
  • Implements, coordinates, and monitors activities across multiple systems to improve health and quality of life outcomes for youth and their families.
  • Works in a professional manner with the adult staff at sites where programming is to occur, building good working relationships with client system representatives.
  • Works with teams to provide department events for youth.

Data Management/Administrative 15%

  • Understands contractual requirements and current status of grants and submits informed and thorough monthly reports
  • Conducts process evaluation and maintains accurate records of group sessions at a variety of community locations. including Buffalo Public Schools, faith-based sites, and other locations.

Education:

Warehouse Settlement Analyst is a role within Market Operations supporting Cash Securities and facilitating timely settlement of trades. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of fixed income securities while providing best in class customer service. Analyst will be expected to handle escalations for settlement issues, demonstrate strong break/fail resolution skills to maintain or improve daily scorecard metrics, This is a highly dynamic role in a fast-paced environment where the analyst is required to adapt to the changing needs of our internal and external clients. Teamwork is an essential aspect of this role as well building and maintaining good relationships within the team and with other internal Citi teams. This role identifies policy and applies specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data and encourages process improvement to increase efficiency/effectiveness within the team and organization.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Utilize industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses to handle complex deals and monitor day to day processing for the team.
+ Lead enhancements or defect fixes to push the business forward (business case development, requirements gathering, and UAT)
+ Demonstrate willingness to ask questions, challenge processes, and seek out answers independently
+ Work closely with manager to execute strategic initiatives
+ Demonstrate leadership by training, mentoring, and guiding junior staff

+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

- Generating, reviewing and confirming the accuracy of structured settlement client proposals;

- Reviewing and coordinating all settlement documents, including, QARs, QARPs, SARs, Trusts and Court Orders;

- Coordinating interrelated activities amongst clients, attorneys, life companies, and financial consultants;

- Maintaining databases regarding open cases, funding deadlines, final contracts and providing daily status updates to the team;

- Assisting in other operational capacities as needed;

- Ability to thrive in a highly regulated corporate environment that demands full compliance with policies and procedures.

• Life Insurance Licensed required
• Excellent Organizational Skills
