This individual will be responsible for the effective set up of equipment. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Work with assigned Service Departments to complete setup of equipment.

  • Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used.

  • Assume other duties of equipment repair assigned by management when needed (i.e. used equipment recon, machine detailing).

  • Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.

  • Clean and detail company and customer equipment.

  • Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in the dealership’s area of responsibility.

  • Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.

  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.

  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.

  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

Job Description:

The Production Equipment Setup Specialist will oversee the setup of high speed manufacturing equipment by working with manufacturing personnel on a daily basis to setup the equipment and resolving issues that occur. The specialist will work closely with manufacturing technicians to train and mentor personnel to ensure machine setups are done correctly and consistently across all shifts. The specialist analyzes present and proposed manufacturing processes and technologies to determine improvements to setup processes, equipment tooling, and automation to optimize manufacturing processes, meet present and new regulations, reduce rejects, and increase capacity. Other responsibilities will include equipment performance tracking and review of OEE/OPE metrics to support on-going production equipment performance improvements. The specialist will investigate any equipment related challenges in collaboration with line QA and Manufacturing personnel.

  1. Oversee the mechanical operation of high speed filling equipment in production areas, spending 75 - 80% of time in the aseptic core or area of expertise performing setup activities and troubleshooting.
  2. Develop and assist in the proper training for sterile machine operators for consistent and proper machine setup.
  3. Build an inspection plan for equipment tooling and replacement of worn out components. Continuously monitor wear condition of machine and format parts.
  4. Optimize run operations to maximize yield and reduce waste. Review OEE/OPE metrics, identify root causes, and develop corrective actions for poor performing equipment/production runs.
  5. Assist in the selection and installation of manufacturing process equipment.
  6. Identify, recommend, and implement solutions to equipment challenges in Manufacturing.
  7. Provide mechanical operation support during new process machinability's and make recommendations for optimized operation.
  8. Investigate incidents in collaboration with line QA and Manufacturing personnel. Identify and implement CAPAs as applicable.
  9. Maintain gown certification in ISO environments
  10. Provide clear and concise information in Maintenance Work Order Documentation System - SAP PM.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Military Tech or Trade School desired
  • 3-5 years of directly related experience required
  • Lead experience is desired.
  • Pharmaceutical (sterile machine operations) and FDA experience desired.
  • Mastery experience in Microsoft Work & Excel required
  • General awareness in Microsoft PowerPoint required
  • General awareness/ working knowledge in SAP & ETQ required
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted, exposure to allergens, work in aseptic areas and confined spaces, repetitive activity, pushing, pulling, prolonged standing, twisting, required.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

  • Hiring Wage: $30.93- $41.85 hr. depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises. Midpoint and above is reserved for employees who have longevity with Jubilant HollisterStier and consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role
    • Shift Differential pay is available for this position, and is determined by hours worked on selected shift.

The Maintenance Mechanic - Equipment Setup is responsible for equipment setup, change part control, mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting technical and process related issues, and verification of manufacturers' specifications. The Maintenance Mechanic - Equipment Setup performs a wide range of tasks, from routine inspections and preventive maintenance to troubleshooting.

Shift: 6 PM-6 AM (2-2-3 schedule). This role will be 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky.

The Role

  • Follow standardized work to perform equipment setups and manage equipment change parts.

  • Understand and follow all cGMP and SOP regulations.

  • Accurately complete all applicable documentation pertaining to daily tasks including, but not limited to, setup forms, change part inspection, spare part ordering, preventative maintenance tasks, etc.

  • Monitor key change part parameters in accordance with manufacturer specifications using calibrated tools.

The Candidate

  • HS Diploma or GED required. An associate degree or vocational certificate in related field is preferred. 3+ years experience in technical manufacturing focusing on mechanical alignment and changeover skills preferred. Prior experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or food manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and problems.

  • Understanding of equipment used in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.

  • Must be familiar with and possess the ability to read, understand and use electrical drawings, system drawings and panel layout sheets, as well as wiring diagrams. Items including tools and lab equipment (1 to 15 lbs.), larger scale pieces of equipment involving multiple personnel for lift (>50 lbs). The Maintenance Mechanic - Equipment Setup is responsible for equipment setup, change part control, mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting technical and process related issues, and verification of manufacturers' specifications. The Maintenance Mechanic - Equipment Setup performs a wide range of tasks, from routine inspections and preventive maintenance to troubleshooting.
Shift: 6 PM-6 AM (2-2-3 schedule). This role will be 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky.

**The Role**
+ Follow standardized work to perform equipment setups and manage equipment change parts.
+ Understand and follow all cGMP and SOP regulations.
+ Accurately complete all applicable documentation pertaining to daily tasks including, but not limited to, setup forms, change part inspection, spare part ordering, preventative maintenance tasks, etc.
+ Monitor key change part parameters in accordance with manufacturer specifications using calibrated tools.
+ Provide technical troubleshooting to investigate alignment, setup, and process related issues; provides data and possible solutions for issues related to setup or processing.
+ Provides assistance to maintenance team as required.
+ Manage setup schedule to minimize production downtime associated with equipment setup.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**The Candidate**
+ HS Diploma or GED required. An associate degree or vocational certificate in related field is preferred. 3+ years experience in technical manufacturing focusing on mechanical alignment and changeover skills preferred. Prior experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or food manufacturing environment is preferred.
+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
+ Knowledge of mechanical systems and problems.
+ Understanding of equipment used in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
+ Must be familiar with and possess the ability to read, understand and use electrical drawings, system drawings and panel layout sheets, as well as wiring diagrams. Items including tools and lab equipment (1 to 15 lbs.), larger scale pieces of equipment involving multiple personnel for lift (>50 lbs).
