THE DEPARTMENT:
The Information Technology Department is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a secure technology
infrastructure to support the Product, People, Promotion, Place and Profit areas of Helzberg Diamonds. It accomplishes this through the design, development and deployment of automated systems to meet the information and process needs of each major line of business: human resources, merchandise, marketing, finance, stores, and E-Commerce. In addition to these lines of business applications, the IT organization is responsible for the collection and correlation of all company electronic information assets into an enterprise Data Warehouse which is used to support the overall analytical and reporting information needs of the business.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer positions primary responsibility is to design and implement complex technical solutions as an experienced and independent part of Helzberg's Salesforce B2C Ecommerce development team. This position will partner with the Ecommerce Development Manager as well as internal and external stakeholders to define and execute the solutions to business initiatives. This includes deployment of updates, maintenance and security enhancements. This position is responsible for performing code reviews to ensure production-readiness of updates being deployed as well as coaching team members to adhere to development best-practices. The Ecommerce Development Team works with all departments within the SSC on issues that impact functionality and strategic direction of our Ecommerce site. Examples include working with our Corporate Systems Team to ensure interoperability of back-end systems with the site, Marketing for enabling personalization and customer data capture for insights and analysis, Merchandise and Credit for promotional capabilities and payment capture etc.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Design, implement, and document complex technical solutions as an independent and experienced member of the Ecommerce Development team.
- Provide mentorship and code reviews for Ecommerce development team, ensuring that software development best practices are understood and applied.
- Partner with Ecommerce Development Manager to design, execute and enhance deployment processes & controls for software updates in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, SFCC updates and emerging technologies.
- Implement third-party integrations and work with API's/RESTful web services to enhance site functionality.
- Work with the Information Security Team to ensure security posture complies with industry standards.
- Assess current development team practices and provide recommendations for process changes to drive efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or comparable professional experience.

- 8 Years experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C
- Ability to map business requirements into the technical capabilities of the Ecommerce platform as well as guide client's business needs back to the appropriate use of the platform.
- Current developer and architect certification on Demandware
- Superior relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of obtaining and exceeding goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality as appropriate
- Expert level knowledge of Demandware B2C Ecommerce functionality
- Expert level knowledge of Ecommerce Best Practices for Internationalization and Localization
