ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pack and label outgoing shipments to customers request and specifications.
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items for outgoing shipments.
- Attach shipping labels on packed stencils or cartons; identify shipping information on goods, using stenciling equipment
- Gather preassembled containers, wooden containers, or cardboard together
- Place items into containers using fillers, spacers and protective padding
- Screw covers on containers and wooden crates with metal tape, using a strapping machine
- Stencil, stamp or glue shipping instructions and identifying information onto containers or crates
- Examine outgoing shipments and make sure they conform with specifications
- Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
- Notify your supervisor on shortages or missing parts.
- Cycle count inventory items at assigned intervals.
- Perform necessary computer transactions to maintain inventory.
- Review and maintain sufficient inventory levels of shipping supplies and order accordingly
- Coordinate daily/weekly shipping schedules with Quality Assurance Manager and Master Scheduler
- Perform visual inspections and cleaning
- Ther duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Licensed forklift operator
- Ability to read, speak and write in English.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

JOB SUMMARY:
Perform duties related to the processing of hardware for client orders and inventory on hand. Our client is seeking an Import Export Manager to join their team in Mason, MI where they manufacture food and beverage packaging products.
This person manages the import/export process to ensure compliance with the export/import laws and regulations in all countries where the company does business while ensuring expeditious flow of international shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Support Transportation Procurement Manager for annual Ocean contract renewals for U.S. and Canada, as well as changes to external PO Management 3 rd party site
+ Provide cost analysis to the organization for international ocean transportation lanes for U.S. and Canada
+ Process payment of some transportation and customs brokerage charges for U.S. and Canada
+ Manage multi-departmental team on export/import and trade agreement issues to mitigate risk, integrate proper processes across business functions and locations, and identify opportunities for participation in global trade programs that would benefit the company
+ Perform annual free trade agreement certificate of origin renewals
+ Perform annual U.S. Reconciliation Valuation adjustments for U.S. Customs entry corrections
+ Conduct regular audits of export/import activities of all of company's U.S. and Canada operations and service providers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations; perform post entry corrections or prior disclosure declarations as needed, and correct errors in internal data systems
+ Manage supply-chain security initiatives; including CTPAT Administration
+ Provide support and training to U.S. and Canada personnel involved with export/import activities to include development of compliance manuals, procedures, plans, training materials and self-audit templates
+ Manage customs broker costs and relations to ensure their processes comply with applicable regulations when acting on the company's behalf
+ Negotiate and review agreements with export/import service providers, including brokers and freight forwarders
+ Develop best practices and devise process innovations, including automation, to improve the quality and efficiency of export/import compliance activities

+ Supervisory or demonstrated technical leadership experienc
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive and professional manner
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; the ability to independently manage several tasks at one time
+ Demonstrated experience learning new information quickly and applying it to business situations

- Trailer number verification, skid quantity, trailer seal, and dispatch.
