The role of the **Supply Chain Technician** serves as member of the Material Management team supporting the clinical staff in the annual planning, daily management and ongoing monitoring of the medical supply expense budget which includes the coordination and provision for supplies and equipment that enable patient care in the hospital.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ This position consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Emory Healthcare's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Emory Healthcare's policies and procedures.
+ Manage medical supply stocking levels (PARS) within the assigned healthcare facility to include ancillary departments (does not include ASC). This includes making recommendations to par level adjustments and ordering appropriately so that supply cost per unit of service stays in alignment with the clinical unit's budget.
+ Perform physical receipt of goods and validate shipping against packing slip. This includes FedEx, UPS, and USPS deliveries in addition to capital equipment deliveries.
+ Manage outstanding backorders and receipts by executing respective queries in the procurement system daily or weekly, receiving discrepancies and communicate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and suppliers, as needed. Manage RTVs (returns to vendor).
+ Deliver medical equipment and supplies to the clinical supply closets. Rotate and stock product as needed based on a first in, first out model. Coordinate deliveries and vendor-managed supplies (e.g. linen) with contracted suppliers.
+ Responsible for the inventory management in the clinical supply areas: organize supply areas, manage shelf life/expiring products, removing unused supplies etc.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ One year's experience in supply chain preferred.
+ Supply chain experience means experience establishing and managing par levels and storage closets (e.g. rotating stock, validating product recalls and expiration dates)
+ Demonstrated experience collaborating with other departments to research and solve complex problems.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of medical/surgical services and supplies and inventory preferred.
+ Education and Training

**Description**
The role of the **Supply Chain Technician** serves as member of the Material Management team supporting the clinical staff in the annual planning, daily management and ongoing monitoring of the medical supply expense budget which includes the coordination and provision for supplies and equipment that enable patient care in the hospital.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ This position consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Emory Healthcare's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Emory Healthcare's policies and procedures.
+ Manage medical supply stocking levels (PARS) within the assigned healthcare facility to include ancillary departments (does not include ASC). This includes making recommendations to par level adjustments and ordering appropriately so that supply cost per unit of service stays in alignment with the clinical unit's budget.
+ Perform physical receipt of goods and validate shipping against packing slip. This includes FedEx, UPS, and USPS deliveries in addition to capital equipment deliveries.
+ Manage outstanding backorders and receipts by executing respective queries in the procurement system daily or weekly, receiving discrepancies and communicate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and suppliers, as needed. Manage RTVs (returns to vendor).
+ Deliver medical equipment and supplies to the clinical supply closets. Rotate and stock product as needed based on a first in, first out model. Coordinate deliveries and vendor-managed supplies (e.g. linen) with contracted suppliers.
+ Responsible for the inventory management in the clinical supply areas: organize supply areas, manage shelf life/expiring products, removing unused supplies etc.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ One year's experience in supply chain preferred.
+ Supply chain experience means experience establishing and managing par levels and storage closets (e.g. rotating stock, validating product recalls and expiration dates)
+ Demonstrated experience collaborating with other departments to research and solve complex problems.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of medical/surgical services and supplies and inventory preferred.
+ Education and Training
+ High school or GED.
+ Computer knowledge/skills required.
+ Associate Degree in Business or Health Care related preferred.
+ License, Certifications, Other Credentials
+ Essential Functions (i.e. bending, lifting, and mobility)

Supply Chain Analyst
**Department:** Logistics

**About The Role**
The Supply Chain Analyst conducts inventory analysis on multiple warehouses and improves supply chain operations, by focusing on demand planning, utilizing forecasts, stocking levels and customer stocking agreements to optimize delivery performance while reducing cost. The position involves a thorough understanding of the need for data integrity, purchase order management, planning concepts and its integration with our SIOP process. The role requires strong analytical and data handling skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to identify problems and propose data-driven solutions in a high demand supply chain environment.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Inventory management: Review inventory movement for each warehouse to determine whether material on-hand is in sufficient quantity. This includes generating planning reports, analyzing, and ordering product as needed to meet/exceed sales forecast, all while trying to maintain target inventory turns. This may include merging multiple reports.
+ Determine and maintain optimal stock levels nationwide through stock transfers as an alternative to creating purchase orders to our internal/external suppliers.
+ Track KPIs such as stock out %, actual stock vs planned stock and weekly purchases vs planned.
+ Support our monthly SIOP process through strategic demand planning by utilizing sales and purchasing/production reports to maintain our corporate service levels
+ Own data integrity for all materials of responsibility.
+ Compile reports of how much was purchased or transferred (e.g., number of containers build, timing of receipts, etc.).
+ Verify bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders and forwards documentation for payment approval.
+ MRO, Lease, Service purchases.
+ Work with sales to determine delivery requirements
+ Expedite freight, as needed.
+ Handle special freight requirements and special equipment, as needed
**Experience**
+ 5+ years of working experience
**Knowledge/ training (preferred):**
+ Strong computer skills including proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and experience with Logility is a bonus;
+ Experience with enterprise procurement and sourcing under very tight deadlines;
+ Basic understanding of lean operating principles;
+ Ability to perform basic financial picture of vendor proposals, supply chain costs, new project deployment ROI and payback periods;
+ Strong understanding of supply chain cycle, Manufacturing, organization structures and key metrics required.
**Education**
+ Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Operations, Business Administration or other applicable fields.
