How You'll Perform the Role
The Shipping Manager is directly accountable and responsible for the management of distribution/warehousing activities of the facility. - Oversight of all Quality, Distribution, and Warehousing activities in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Oversee/confirm invoice process and order planning.
- Promote strategies designed to improve service, quality, and product value.

- Direct and coordinate inventory control functions and material management including cycle count personnel.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at driving excellence through lean and other operational excellence methodologies

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
This position is administrative in nature and will present physical demands requisite to a position requiring: hearing, seeing, lifting, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within assigned territory. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
