Maintain the integrity of information by accurately receiving goods shipped through the inspection and verification processes as it pertains to meeting the customers' needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming goods prior to acceptance.
- Confirm outgoing goods prior to loading.
- Communication with TL, LTL carriers via telephone, fax, websites, etc.
- Daily processing of shipping documents, customs (export) documents.
- Daily communication with Customer Service regarding order details.
- Record all shipping/receiving transactions within the computer system.
- Inform Shipping Supervisor of any discrepancies that cannot be resolved.
- Utilize routing guide to select approved carriers and determine most cost-efficient method for shipping.
- Safely operate forklift.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification:
- Required: High School Degree or Equivalent
- Desired: Associate's Degree
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping/warehouse role
- Forklift Experience

The Stryten factory in Salina, Kansas is one of the largest lead-acid battery manufacturing sites in North America with 800 employees capable of producing more than 35,000 quality batteries per day. These batteries can be found in your car, in your boat or RV, or, in your lawn and garden equipment. Stryten proudly supports the local community by regularly participating in Project Salina, the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, and providing more than 100 volunteers for the Smoky Hill River Festival.
The primary responsibility of this job is to unload, verify, and receive inbound shipments, to load and ship out plant scrap, returnable racks/crates and pallets for the receiving department.
**Starting pay rate = $20.66**

**Responsibilities**
Essential Functions:
+ Receive directions from supervisor and lead man.
+ Unload shipments arriving at plant, check materials versus paperwork.
+ Store materials and product in assigned area.
+ Move materials from or into specified area.
+ Operate lift truck in safe manner. Hook up charges to lift truck.
+ Prepare load sheet, load product and material for shipment.
+ Inspect, band, and load hazardous waste on trailers for shipment to recycling center.
+ Assist coordinator with paperwork and other coordinator duties.
+ Comply with health and safety policies and regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
+ Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
+ Pallet Repair
+ Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed. The training shall consist of a review of proper management of hazardous waste, satellite accumulation containers, how to review and prepare a hazardous waste manifest, and proper labeling requirements.
+ Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning
**Qualifications**
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
+ Frequently lifting from grams up to 50 pounds
Equipment Used:
+ Lift truck, small hand tools, air compressor, nail gun, bander, clipboard, pen/pencil, RF, and 2-way radio
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ Operation of Powered Industrial Equipment such as forklift.
Computer usage.
+ Ability to read, write, and understand simple English.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to manage all aspects of small package shipments via FedEx, UPS, and DHL. This individual will also be responsible for picking and packing small orders, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with international shipping standards, including Incoterms and Harmonized System (HS) codes. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable using pallet jacks and/or forklifts in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate and process daily shipments using FedEx, UPS, and DHL platforms.
+ Prepare accurate shipping labels, commercial invoices, and export documentation.
+ Ensure compliance with international shipping requirements, including proper use of Incoterms and HS Codes.
+ Pick and pack small orders efficiently, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage.
+ Operate pallet jacks and/or forklifts to move goods within the warehouse as needed.
+ Track and resolve shipping issues such as delays, mis-deliveries, or customs holds.
+ Maintain organized shipping records, logs, and documentation.
+ Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, and inventory) to support order fulfillment.
+ Monitor inventory of packing and shipping materials, and reorder as needed.
+ Assist with customs clearance procedures and follow up on export documentation.
