Reports To : Inventory Control Manager

Summary/Objective:


The Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing Associate must have experience with warehouse and shipping operations with limited supervision, and demonstrate jack-of-all-trades knowledge to be successful in this role. This position is responsible for the support of day-to-day location and service operations.


Essential Functions:


Shipping & Receiving

  • Access information on a computer
  • Keep shipping and receiving area clean/stocked
  • Making sure the shipping and receiving of all orders is done in a timely manner. All items should be received into the system the same day they arrive. All shipments for office should be checked in and taken over to proper staging area in building.
  • Receive/inspect/properly store incoming shipments
  • Getting all freight charges added to the picking list in a timely manner
  • Getting all stock items put away in their proper places
  • Maintaining the forklift. (This includes daily safety check); use of hand truck
  • Make sure that all safety rules are being followed
  • Assist all RFM employees with finding parts they need
  • Make sure we have adequate shipping supplies on hand at all times
  • Prepare/schedule outgoing shipments
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by manager


Inventory / Warehouse / Service Support

  • Keeping the warehouse clean at all times.
  • Pull, label, stage parts needed by Service Department for daily activities
  • Re-inventory all unused material returned from job sites
  • Insure all inventories are labeled and placed in the proper location
  • Insure all warranty returns are properly cycled through the process
  • Conduct daily walk through insuring safety hazards are eliminated, area is clean & orderly, and all items are properly stored
  • Maintain/operate warehouse-based forklifts and service vehicles (general maintenance only)


Driver: Service Support, Pick-up’s and Deliveries (when needed)

  • Frequent vendor will-calls and job site deliveries using company vehicles
  • Pull, label, stage parts needed by Service Department for daily activities
  • Re-inventory all unused material returned from job sites
  • Conduct daily walk through ensuring safety hazards are eliminated, area is clean & orderly, and all items are properly stored
  • Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, and in safe and professional manner
  • Occasional facilities work as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • At least 1 year warehouse experience
  • Proven working experience as a driver and warehouse personnel
  • Valid Professional Driver’s License, with good driving record and no violations

Experience with creating shipping labels and working with various freight portals, a plus

·Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying, in an environment that is not climate controlled.

·Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.

·High school diploma or equivalent required.
