DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor shipping reports for Pierce sales orders that are ready to be shipped paying close attention to Pierce's OTD reporting requirements.
- Release pick tickets for Pierce orders.
- Pick Pierce sales orders.
- Pack Pierce orders.
- Process Pierce orders through the system.
- Coordinate with Pierce their weekly "milk runs".
- Work with the Customer Service team for any issues arising with sales orders that are generated in the system.
- Work with designated department employees with regards to orders that are not or will not be ready on required ship dates.
- Utilize material handling devices for retrieval and movement of product, i.e. forklift.
- Cross train with Shipping Coordinator to backup as needed.

SUMMARY
The Shipping Specialist supports the Production Operation and the Materials Management group by packing and preparing outbound materials for shipment from the production environment. Materials processed include PC desktop, laptop, server systems and parts orders. Shipping destinations include locations around the globe.
This role is responsible for the final visual inspection of the systems and minor system exterior cleaning and polishing prior to packaging.
Perform system packaging and re-packaging, into original OEM cartons
Processing all required documents to facilitate shipment (pack list, transfer form, customs declaration, etc.)
Track and provide shipment status to team members and investigate and help resolve shipping related issues.
Send out customer ASN (advance shipping notice) via email.
Handle RMA's for customers and Vendors
Resolve shipping related issues
Participate in lab clean-up activities with other production employees.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Must understand inventory management principles and practices (cycle count, Kanban, etc.)
· Perform Material Movements (Picking, Shipping, Transfers, Replacements, etc.) and execute appropriate transactions in MRP or database systems to assure inventory accuracy
· Process orders for shipment and produce shipping documents (Pack List, Material Transfer Forms, Customs Declaration forms, etc.)
· Perform cycle counts
· Must be detail oriented and be able to work with minimal supervision
· Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS /EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THIS POSITION:
· High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
· Experience in Shipping / inventory or warehouse related roles
· The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 yrs experience in a similar role with knowledge of Pick/Pack, Shipping, MRP, inventory management
· Experience with data entry in MRP or similar systems.

- Receive and check in all deliveries
- Order all supplies for the mail room
- Scan documents
- Assist COBRA Payment Specialist duties as workload allows
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, e.g., computer terminals, printers, copy machines, telephone systems, facsimile machines, ten key.
- Ability to access, operate and maintain various software applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous scheduling experience is a plus, not a requirement.
