Job Description
Duties:
- Supervise employees to meet daily shipping schedules in high volume capacity traffic on multiple shifts.
- Estimate product, equipment (truck/trailers) and staffing required to meet departmental schedules.
- Manage warehouse in efficient manner as to gain the maximum storage and flexibility.
- Inspect, train and monitor employee's compliance with company's safety, quality and performance policies and procedures.
- Works closely with production supervisors as necessary to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Supervise team in the proper methods of shipping including monitoring order accuracy, timeliness, accuracy of inventory and efficiency of department.
- Communicate daily with Internal and External customers on status of any order related problems.
- Verify employees' production reporting accuracy, procedural compliance and time and attendance.
- Conducts safety audits in compliance with company's programs.
- Develop and implement procedures to train employees in the safe and efficient method of all activities in areas of responsibility.
- Be able to perform all duties and activities of the workers supervised.
- Traveling to other sites less than 10% of the time
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma required, Enrolled or Completed Associate/Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of Shipping/Receiving, Manufacturing, Lead, or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient problem-solving and multitasking skill
- You're a team player and thrive in a collaborative team environment
- You have a desire to learn and grow
- Ability to promote teamwork among peers is a must
- Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

- Locate products based on customer bill of order and location codes.
- Retrieve products in timely and accurate manner.
- Stage and organize products in "staging area".

- Continuously strive to drive, improve, and monitor QAP companywide KPI's: safety (6s), people, quality, cost of production, delivery/Inventory, continuous improvement, finance/cash, and commercial.
- General knowledge of basic computer skills including but not limited to: excel, word, email, Powerpoint, and company ERP/HRIS systems.
- Promotes company provided programs such as safety, recruiting, retention and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure employee and departmental compliance with all policies, procedures, values and mission and reports non-compliance to supervisor for resolution.

Work Conditions
This job operates in an industrial manufacturing environment exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, dust, fumes, oil, or other outdoor elements. This role requires regular standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs/ladders, squatting, sitting, operating machinery and may require lifting up to 50lbs, and must be able to wear PPE as required. This is a full-time position and may require some overtime including nights and weekend work.

About the role
Amsted Automotive’s Cold Form & Finishing division is seeking a hands-on Lead Shipping Coordinator to oversee shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of leadership experience, strong SAP proficiency, sit-down forklift skills, and a proven track record of driving KPIs and departmental goals.
What you will do
- Oversee the daily activities of the shipping department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of shipping coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of shipments, including the creation of shipping labels, packing lists, and invoices.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure adequate stock for shipping.
- Arrange transportation for shipments, negotiate rates with carriers, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle -counts to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at highest levels.
- Establish good communication with suppliers providing them with daily/weekly schedules as to when parts are required to be completed.
- Work closely with Sales and Materials to understand customer due dates and customer specific requirements.
- Maintain organization and 5S standards throughout shipping areas and inventory stock locations.
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Address and resolve any shipping -related issues or complaints from customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all reports as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledgeable in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Must have at least two years leader or managerial experience
- Must be able to drive a sit-down fork truck
- Must have experience with departmental metrics such as KPI and G & O
- Seeking candidates with a strong track record of leading teams in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of IATF16949 quality system, customer specific packaging, shipping and label requirements
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics
- Familiarization of product and good organization skills
- Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO1001, and Q1 compliance criteria
- Must be able to function in a very fast-paced moving environment

- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping and performing repetitive motion tasks
- Excellent manual dexterity, ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Parts Counterperson . This position plays a key part in both the logistical operations of the parts department and in delivering outstanding customer service to internal and external clients. Key Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving Duties:
Receive and inspect all incoming parts and accessories shipments.
Verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
Report and document any discrepancies, damage, or missing items.
Accurately input received items into the Dealer Management System (DMS) - Reynolds.
Organize and stock incoming inventory in the correct storage locations.
Prepare, package, and ship outgoing parts orders in a timely and secure manner.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving and storage areas.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
Assist technicians and service advisors with parts requests at the service counter.
Identify and source required parts quickly and accurately using manufacturer catalogs and DMS.
Provide pricing, availability, and product information to retail and wholesale customers.
Create parts invoices, special orders, and returns.
Follow up on backorders and keep customers informed of order status.
Maintain professional and courteous communication with internal staff and customers.
Promote additional or add-on parts when appropriate.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in shipping/receiving, parts counter, or warehouse roles (automotive experience preferred).
Knowledge of automotive parts and systems; Infiniti or Nissan experience is a plus.
Experience with DMS software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) is an advantage.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
Combination of warehouse, counter, and customer-facing environments.
Some exposure to vehicle service areas and warehouse operations.
