Skorpios Technologies, Inc., an innovator in heterogeneous integration of silicon photonic technology and semiconductor development, is seeking a Shipping Associate responsible for all aspects of the inbound and outbound shipping process. This includes preparing and packaging orders, creating shipping labels and documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate records. The position is also responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and professional packaging, shipping, and receiving of various items. The role supports various activities associated with materials handling. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess a keen eye for detail, and be committed to quality and efficiency.

• Read, understand, and implement company shipping and receiving procedures
  
• Read, understand, and implement company inventory management procedures
  
• Execute domestic and international shipping requirements
  
• Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correct and securely packaged to prevent damage during transit
  
• Generate domestic and international shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation using various carrier portals (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, MyDHL). Verify shipping information for accuracy and select appropriate carriers and service levels
  
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications
  
• Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
  
• Log all incoming shipments in the shipping/receiving log sheet
  
• Review, verify, and approve shipment invoices
  
• Assist with maintaining accurate inventory counts and communicate any discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor
  
• Schedule pickups with various freight and parcel carriers and ensure timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments
  
• Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
  
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the warehouse to maintain a safe working environment

Material Handling :

• Provide additional backup support for material handling.
  
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
  
• Provide kits and other materials to the production team and other internal customers.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  
• Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role is highly preferred.
  
• Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus.
  
• Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is desirable.
  
• Experience with handling and shipping hazardous materials (hazmat) is a plus.
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our Global Operations Team at Esri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations in production, planning, distribution, fulfillment, inventory, and warehousing. This position will report to the Director of Global Operations and will have several direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that meet corporate objectives
• Oversee logistics operations, including domestic and international shipping
• Maintain compliance with all US and foreign trade regulations
• Collaborate with multiple internal departments within Esri to ensure business continuity
• Collaborate with the Esri SAP support team for system testing and enhancements
• Lead all efforts in material and part number configurations within SAP
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess
• Collaborate with suppliers and other Esri departments to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvements
• Ensure compliance with hazardous waste and safety requirements
• Provide return on investment (ROI) analysis for department equipment
• Train department on safety requirements and properly document all completed training
• Manage the production operations for USB software duplication, marketing and events signage, and outsourcing Esri press books

Requirements

• Bachelor's in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field
• 8+ years of experience managing an operation with direct reports
• Proven experience in a supply chain management role, with a track record of success
• 5+ years of experience with SAP, an enterprise resource planning system, or comparable data management systems
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with colleagues at all levels of the organization
• Experience with using the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; excellent Microsoft Excel skills essential; Visio or Lucidchart experience

Recommended Qualifications

• Certification in supply chain management (such as APICS) is a plus

Role Description

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is responsible for the organization, execution and control of all purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging supplies, equipment, and other goods and services required for the manufacturing of pet supplements. This includes supporting and executing the development of purchasing strategies, managing a team of buyers, negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and optimizing purchasing processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Develop and Execute Purchasing Strategy: Align purchasing initiatives with business goals by identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.

• Drive Cost Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through pricing negotiations, supplier consolidation, and improved procurement practices.

Role Description The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is responsible for the organization, execution and control of all purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging supplies, equipment, and other goods and services required for the manufacturing of pet supplements. This includes supporting and executing the development of purchasing strategies, managing a team of buyers, negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and optimizing purchasing processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and Execute Purchasing Strategy: Align purchasing initiatives with business goals by identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Manage Supplier Relationships: Source, assess, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other performance metrics. Lead contract negotiations and maintain ongoing partnerships. Deliver Strategic KPIs: Achieve key metrics including Perfect Order Rate, Inventory Days of Supply, Inventory Turnover, and Forecast Accuracy. Oversee Purchase Order Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices to support uninterrupted operations. Optimize Inventory Management: Collaborate cross-functionally to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels, reducing stockouts and maximizing working capital. Drive Cost Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through pricing negotiations, supplier consolidation, and improved procurement practices. Ensure Quality Assurance: Partner with quality control to verify that incoming materials meet established standards; resolve supplier quality issues promptly. Coordinate Supply Chain and Logistics: Work with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective transportation of goods. Lead Purchasing Team: Manage and develop a high-performing team of buyers; conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and foster a collaborative culture. Administer Purchasing Budget: Develop and control the annual procurement budget; monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement savings strategies. Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all procurement-related regulations, including ethical sourcing and industry-specific compliance standards. Conduct Market Analysis: Monitor supplier markets and industry trends to support informed purchasing decisions and strategic sourcing. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing and procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPP, CPM, CPSM, CSCP) KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES Leadership & Management: Proven experience leading and managing a purchasing team. Purchasing Expertise: Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, contract negotiation, supplier management, and international sourcing. Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems and purchasing software. Core Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills. Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, sound judgment, positive attitude, and exceptional teamwork skills. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). COMPUTER SKILLS & ABILITIES Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
