**Job Summary**
Responsible for providing support to the shipping department by planning and preparing all necessary documents and logs. Coordinates shipments with customer service/sales and truck carriers.
**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**
+ Plans and prepares all necessary shipping documents for sales to customers and interplant shipments.
+ Coordinates with other company facilities to correct errors or coordinate the timing of shipments.
+ Works with customer service to meet customer shipment deadlines.
+ Monitors inventory by assisting in cycle counts and keeping bin locations accurate.
+ Dispatches shipments to the appropriate truck carriers. Maintains and distributes shipment logs and other reports as needed.
+ Assists in entering and maintaining time and attendance reporting.
+ May handle receiving plant and warehouse materials and products and documenting shipments and logging in to the database.
+ Performs other duties that may be assigned.
**Nature and Scope**
+ Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
+ Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
+ None.
**Work Environment**
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
**Education and Experience**
+ HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

- Three (3) years prior shipping experience in manufacturing or logistics
- Skill in ERP mainframe data entry

Position Overview: The Shipping Specialist is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day shipping activities relating to the scheduling of trucks, receiving and releasing orders and inventory management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Check in drivers; verify identity and order number, and ensure they adhere to their appointment schedule.
  • Organize and file various shipping documents.
  • Look up, edit, release, waive, and receive orders using various warehouse management systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on issues with shipments.
  • Manual entry of orders into the appropriate warehouse management system.
  • Scan Bill of Ladings (BOL's) to customers daily.
  • Review all pre-staged orders, document, and add to schedule for following day.
  • Prepare shipping documents for the next day.
  • Review shipping and receiving documents for errors including but not limited to, no hand-written edits on orders, ensuring ship dates are current and documents include forklift driver's signature(s).
  • Print Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) labels.
  • Ensure shipped orders are properly posted in warehouse management systems.
  • Communicate with Warehouse personnel regarding order status.
  • Work with Customer Service to correct orders.
  • Edit or correct BOL's with errors from previous day.
  • Respond to driver inquiries.
  • Work with Repack personnel to correct inventory variances.
  • Scan and print shipping documents upon customer request.
  • Receive inbounds for SAP and ILS as needed.
  • Ensure scanned documents are complete, make corrections and rescan as needed.
  • Match seals to documents.
  • Ensure shipped orders are closed daily.
  • Answer shipping and receiving phone and respond to inquiries.
  • Affix and lock seals to trailers or containers, take photo and email to customers as required.
  • Direct truck drivers regarding proper parking location.
  • Assist warehouse with inventory questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of truck driver's identification and dispose of properly.
  • General
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.

  • Change propane tanks on clamp trucks and fork truck. Safely maintain propane storage

  • Take trash from press trash carts and place bundles into scrap trailers; order trash trailers when full

  • Maintain orderly scrap/recycle trailers

Scope:

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing truck drivers as they arrive with inbound loads and truck drivers coming in for outbound loads. The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is also responsible for processing orders as they are picked as well as preparing shipping documents.


Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities :

  • Promotes safety and conducts him/herself in accordance with all safety guidelines at all times
  • Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
  • Prepares documents, such as bills of lading, delivery notes/packing list, and or labels
  • Reviews orders to ensure inventory is accurate
  • Enters shipment data into ERP system, such as weight, charges, quote numbers, pallet counts
  • Manages appointments and daily schedules for outbound loads
  • Updates all outbound orders with freight quotes, using various carriers’ websites
  • Uses Excel spreadsheets to manage daily orders
  • Prepares some international shipping documents
  • Performs general office duties, such as answering the phone, filing, etc.
  • Checks inbound and outbound drivers in at check in window
  • Goes on to the floor as needed to help audit
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of Shipping and Receiving experience or related experience preferred

Functions:
  • DELIVERY AND PICKUP
  1. Loads truck at Library Service Center (LSC) with materials sorted for delivery to library locations, includes mail bag/tote with each delivery

  3. Picks up library material and mail at the branches and shared system locations, for delivery and sorting at LSC
  4. Picks up discarded material from branches and donated items from residences, and delivers to the book sale

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately. But the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.
We are hiring Shipping and Receiving associates for our Central Fill Pharmacy in Plainfield, Indiana. The starting pay is $18.00 per hour plus $.00 for 2nd shift differential and 3.00 for 3rd shift differential.
**We are hiring for the following shifts:**
+ 1st shift - must be available to work a 10-hour shift any time between 6am to 6pm
+ 2nd shift - must be available to work a 10-hour shift any time between 3pm to 3am
+ 3rd shift - must be available to work a 10-hour shift any time between 9pm and 9am
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma
+ 18+ years old
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 1 year experience in shipping and receiving
+ 1 year experience in inventory control
**The job duties include:**
+ Maintains sorter operation by removing full totes from the sorter tote location; replenishing empty totes at the sorter locations; scanning tote and location with a hand-held scanner; and rearranging individual units in totes to ensure proper fill rates.
+ Manages product deliveries by preparing, reviewing, and verifying receiving documentation and reports; processing, counting, separating, and scanning product; operating computer software and basic applications to track and identify product; unloading product from trailer manually or with powered equipment; organizing inventory and transferring them to production stations; and maintaining records, logs, and forms (for example, shipping manifests).
+ Stocks drugs by using box cutters and knives to open boxes without damaging contents; monitoring product size and making adjustments when product is too large or small; labeling, scanning, and sorting drug types to ensure they are in the right location; transporting drugs and placing them in their designated locations; storing excess drugs on the overstock shelves or racks; and driving forklift to transport skid items in the pharmacy.
+ Maintains quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory and packages by removing damaged or expired product; identifying and resolving discrepancies in records or files; informing management about incorrect or inefficient processes and improper service procedures; and providing basic maintenance to equipment (for example, cleaning, changing labels, bags, ribbons).
+ Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
+ Ensures accurate packing and shipping of pharmacy products by packing prescriptions; scanning the leaflet and medication; placing the package on a conveyor to deliver it to the sorter; packing temperature sensitive medication according to drug specifications; ensuring needed supplies are included in each shipment; stocking workstations with needed supplies for packing and processing shipments; processing and labeling shipments using approved carrier software and equipment; and completing and verifying paperwork for pickup and delivery of shipments.
