Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee operations within our construction facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Shop Supervisor will manage a team of skilled workers, coordinate project schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Manage project scheduling using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
• Oversee budgeting and cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
• Conduct quality control inspections to maintain high standards of work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to guide project execution.
• Utilize ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
• Provide training and support to team members in construction techniques and safety practices.
• Collaborate with project managers to align on project goals and deliverables.

Skills

• Proficient in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and HeavyBid.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, including estimating, budgeting, and quality control.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Experience in project scheduling and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Solid background in supervising teams within a construction environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols on construction sites.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in managing projects effectively.

As the Shop Foreman at CML Security’s Broomfield, CO facility, you’ll be the engine that keeps our operation running smooth. You’ll lead the team responsible for assembling, testing, and prepping our advanced electronic security systems. Your job is equal parts leadership, logistics, and hands-on execution.

• Lead and oversee daily shop operations, work planning, and crew management

• Assemble systems using diagrams, specs, and mechanical drawings

• Oversee factory testing, labeling, and documentation for quality assurance

• Manage delivery schedules, shop inventory, and parts organization

• Operate tools, equipment, and shop machinery as needed

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and security standards

• Hire, train, and develop team members in partnership with HR

• Maintain a safe, efficient, and high-performance shop environment

• 3+ years of management experience (mechanical or technical background preferred)

• High school diploma or GED

• OSHA 10 certification preferred

• Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
