The Estimator will report to the Chief Estimator and work as an integral part of the estimating and business development teams. This role will be responsible for assisting with take-offs and compiling bid proposals for large scale projects. The most important factors are: basic site/earthwork knowledge, work ethic, cultural fit, great attitude, and being team oriented. This position will require contribution at all levels of the bidding process to including: plan take-offs, vendor quotes, quantity calculations, product specification understanding and pricing, creating and tracking RFI’s, and value engineering recommendations as needed. Key Responsibilities
• This role requires someone who has at least intermediate knowledge of/experience with commercial Site Development/Earthwork and is able to effectively and efficiently read and understand site/civil drawings.
• Prior field experience with a Site Development contractor would also be a huge plus.
• Civil Engineering degree is preferred, not required.
• Must be proficient with MS Outlook and other MS Office products
• Prior experience using AGTEK, or other similar dirt take-off software is highly preferred
• Assisting superintendents and foremen with GPS issues (both onsite and remotely).
• Overseeing the initial set-up for new projects consisting of equipment calibration and import of project models.
• Assisting with establishing new devices and data collectors in Worksmanager.
• Interfacing with field personnel to educate on the proper utilization of the GPS systems for project layout.
• Provide cut sheets and as-builts for projects.

Site Development Coordinator
Job Summary:Hillpointe is a vertically integrated multi-family development designer and builder, with in-house engineering and construction teams that manage developments through the complete project life cycle (from initial site assessment to final construction completion). As part of the Hillpointe model, the Site Development Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting during the site development and construction close-out phases of development. The Site Development Coordinator will collaborate with both the construction team in the field and the engineering teams to ensure timely construction of projects.
Essential Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Site Development and Vertical Construction teams and Engineering Services to identify timelines, goals, needs and objectives
- Complete pre-construction logistics plans, including pre-construction site development progress and documentation of critical issues with photos and videos.
- Manage pre-construction logistics and site setup (e.g., fencing and security, site logistics plan, vendor services, safety boards, compliance posters, etc.).
- Assist with construction-related needs, such as coordinating any issues in the field with the engineer, working with local jurisdictions for site inspections or revisions, and record keeping of relevant documentation
- Understand and coordinate technical documents related to construction, such as current drawings, shop drawings, approved documents, photos, inspection reports, submittals, code requirements, and as-built drawings, and be able to integrate into relevant software, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Assist in scheduling meetings related to construction milestones, such as pre-construction meetings, site development kick-off meetings, progress meetings, etc.
- Work with a variety of personnel to ensure project completion, including engineers, designers, surveyors, contractors, subcontractors, and local jurisdiction site inspectors and reviewers
- Assist in tracking all projects in Development and be able to compile data, communicate, and report findings in an organized manner
- Assist in coordination/tracking of foundation surveys, storm and utility as-built surveys, and as-built ALTA surveys throughout the construction phase of all projects
- Attend pre-construction meetings as needed, provide initial BMP inspections as required, and coordinate initial setup of NPDES/SWPPP monitoring
- Assist in obtaining periodic site photos for all projects under construction
- Perform other duties as directed by the Site Development Project Manager and/or Director of Development Services.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of Development Services Teams and Company practices which align with our mission statement
