The Roofing Repair Division Foreman is responsible for investigating, locating and repairing leaks and defects in the following commercial roofing systems EPDM, PVC, TPO, Built-up Roofing and low slope metal. You would manage commercial roofing and roofing repair projects from start to finish and ensure the highest level of craftsmanship. Responsibilities also include customer interface and ensuring customer satisfaction, enforcing project schedules, problem-solving, maintaining project records and documents, managing necessary project documents, and physically inspecting the project to monitor progress and compliance with project standards.

Our search is currently limited to qualified candidates living within the Hampton Roads commuting area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install and repair roofs with the use of commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).
  • Inspect roofs for damage and investigate roof leaks.
  • Diagnose the source of the leak and repair the roof in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Provide adequate documentation of roof diagnosis and repair methods - photos and roof sketches will also be a requirement of this position as needed.
  • Maintain the project construction schedule.
  • Attend all Owner/GC and subcontractor coordination and preconstruction meetings, as required.
  • Receive, review, and document the resolution to all project-specific issues.
  • Responsible for making sure all materials required to complete the scope are inspected and available on site in a timely manner for installation.
  • Field verify and provide necessary shop drawings/sketches for sheet metal fabrication.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the implementation and coordination of on-site quality control. Hold onsite scope/QC meetings with crews and/or subcontractors before beginning each definable feature of work to ensure all parties are clear on the installation, execution, and quality expectations of the scope.
  • Drive the importance of a safety-first mindset to everyone touching the project. Hold crews, subcontractors, and others accountable for all daily safety requirements, including daily safety huddles, toolbox talks, PPE, safety notifications, reports, and documentation, to ensure the jobsite and the company comply with all standards, rules, and regulations issued by OSHA at all times.
  • Prepare Daily Reports each day to make sure no issues are overlooked, and that the jobsite is running as it should.
  • Ensure that all jobsites are left in a weather-tight condition daily.
  • Provide daily progress photos of the safety, roof installation, and nightly tie-in.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages within a lifecycle, if necessary.
  • Manage a small team of employees, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve on-site issues.
  • Hands-on installations, demonstrations, and ensuring proper applications as necessary.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking experienced Track Loader Operators, Track Hoe Operators, Site Foreman, Pipelayers, and Laborers to join our growing Civil site pipe crews based in Hagerstown, MD. These roles focus on underground utility projects, including water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer installations in locations such as Hagerstown, Clarksburg, and Frederick, MD, as well as Winchester, VA. Successful candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in their respective roles, a strong understanding of underground utility installation, trenching regulations, and pipeline safety, a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

TRACK LOADER OPERATOR
  • Operates track loader to excavate trenches, fill ditches or load materials.
  • Operates equipment in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and OSHA procedures.
  • Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job.
TRACK HOE OPERATOR
  • Excavate trenches for mainline utilities such as water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems.
  • Backfill trenches, load materials, and manage trench boxes as needed.
  • Operate equipment safely following company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance on equipment, including greasing and checking fluids, to ensure optimal operation.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities.
  • Carry out other related duties as required to complete project tasks.
FOREMAN
  • Effectively lead, manage, and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals.
  • Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors
  • Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
  • Responsible for the production process
  • Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials, and equipment to complete the job.
  • Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs.
PIPELAYER
  • Install new pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains in prepared trenches.
  • Ensure pipes are aligned properly and positioned on grade and on line.
  • Assist with backfilling and operating compaction equipment as needed.
  • Recognize and mitigate job site hazards.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed to support the crew.
GENERAL LABORER
  • Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
  • Use various hand and power tools.
  • Assist with removal of fine grade stones along curb lines and sidewalks.
  • Take and understand instructions from crew leaders.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of underground utilities and general construction processes.
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as track loaders, graders, or similar machinery.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and contributing to a safe job site environment.
  • Punctuality and dependability are essential.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Excavation and site-utility pipe installation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects in a dynamic environment.


As a Site utility Foreman, you will:

  • · Coordinate and supervise daily activities of a 2-5-person crew.
  • · Operate heavy excavation equipment
  • · Utilize heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill sanitary sewer, storm sewer, gas mains, water mains and fire mains.
  • · Coordinate equipment and material deliveries to the job site.
  • · sequence pipe installation and workflow for job effeciency.
  • · Continually inspect work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
  • · Responsible for crew safety. Establish a safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program and OSHA.
  • · Ability to read, analyze and interpret job plans and specifications.
  • · Ability to layout line and grade using surveying equipment.
  • · Observe assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assure the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • · Analyze job cost reports to ensure production is within budget.
  • · Review and approve employee time reporting.
  • · Maintain professional relationship with others within the company and our clients.
  • · Must be able to carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • This role is onsite; remote work is not available.
