Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) Program's disaster-related operations. The PA Program provides supplementary Federal assistance to State and local governments, certain private nonprofit organizations, and Indian Tribes and Alaskan Native Villages under Presidential major disaster declarations to clear debris; implement emergency protective measures for the preservation of life and property; repair or replace infrastructure, such as streets, bridges, and water control facilities; repair or replace public buildings and related equipment; repair or restore public utilities; and repair or restore public recreational facilities and parks. These program activities are highly visible and require the services of skilled and professional personnel.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Conduct inspections at sites and facilities damaged by disasters to determine and document the extent of disaster related damages.
• Measure facilities and components of facilities using the most efficient tools (e.g. tape measure, measuring wheel, laser measure, GoogleEarth Pro, etc.)
• Document grant applicants' damage claims through a Site Inspection Report (SIR), a Damage Description and Dimensions (DDD) and by capturing Essential Elements of Information (EEI).
• Site Inspectors must understand the concepts of volume.
• Compile documentation and enter data into FEMA's Grant Manager software.
• Must provide their own Personal Protective Gear and Measuring equipment.
• Create maps, photo markups, and sketches to supplement written reports that the grant management software stores and generates.
• Provide good customer service to applicants through prompt follow-up and a professional demeanor.
• If deployed as a Site Inspector or other position that visits damaged facilities, you will need to provide your own personal safety gear (reflective construction vest, Hard Hat, Steel Toed work boots) and measuring equipment (tape measure, measuring wheel, and laser measure)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspecting and analyzing building envelope, HVAC systems, heating systems, electrical, plumbing and all other aspects of building characteristics that may be considered for home improvement, with an emphasis on energy efficiency.

In this role you will get to work as a construction site inspector, on a full-time basis, to oversee both FAA or Parsons construction subcontractors as they support our efforts to assist the FAA in upgrading the National Airspace System (NAS). This position is for primary support of Parsons' Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) with the FAA for their Southern Region, based out of Atlanta, GA.
**T5 Program Summary: The FAA awarded the T5 contract to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.**
