Job DescriptionThe part-time Athletics Building Supervisor / Front Desk Monitor is responsible for monitoring access to the building as well as ensuring a safe environment for those utilizing the facilities. Employee will be assigned to either the Williamson Sports Center or the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center.The Building Supervisor / Front Desk Monitor will respond to emergencies within the building and will communicate directly with Campus Safety and the Department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation staff as necessary regarding emergencies. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for providing security and ensuring a safe environment for those utilizing the facilities within the Williamson Sports Center and McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center Unlocking/locking of both buildings and the outdoor tennis courts depending on assigned shift Assist with event set-up and break-down as assigned and provide oversight for student-workers assisting with the set-up or break-down of events, including those assigned to the cardio/weight rooms Provide general knowledge of events scheduled within the buildings Some clerical tasks as assigned Employee must be able to interact effectively with staff from the Department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation, Counseling Center, Health Services and Health Promotions. Employee must engage users of the facility and direct users to appropriate spaces within the buildings. Interact closely with athletic staff, students, faculty, tour groups, visiting teams and visitors to campus (facility rentals). Will act as a liaison with Campus Safety. Employee must have the maturity to be able to make judgement calls regarding a variety of potential building situations (e.g. asking someone to leave the premises if misusing the facilities). Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to defuse potentially volatile situations that may arise and know when to alert Campus Safety to assist with situation. About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

Fitness Center workers and Building Supervisors provide supervision to all users of the fitness center, gymnasium, activity rooms, tennis courts, and soccer field.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Frequently perform a comprehensive walk through of all facility areas (fitness center, activity rooms, gymnasium, tennis courts, soccer field); quickly fix or report any safety/policy issues and address cleanliness concerns.

Take initiative to ensure safety in the facility. Promptly report maintenance and facility concerns such as broken and/or missing equipment or unsafe conditions.

Anticipate, recognize, and react to all emergencies, and provide necessary, reporting to direct supervisor. Respond to all emergencies and follow procedures in the Emergency Action Plan.

Follow all policies and procedures set forth in the staff handbook.

Perform other admin/clerical duties as assigned by Campus Recreation staff members

Perform other special projects: Tabling Support, Group Fitness Support, Tennis Court Support, Vehicle Support and more.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred

Must be 18 years of age or older

Ability to pass a background check

Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (current certification preferred but will be provided)

Basic computer proficiency

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience:

**We're seeking a dedicated and proactive Athletic Building Services Supervisor to lead facility operations and ensure our athletic spaces are maintained to the highest standards-supporting excellence both on and off the field.**
This position responsible for leading and managing custodial operations across Auburn University's Athletic Department. This includes athletic buildings, stadiums, administrative units, auxiliary facilities, and oversight of third-party custodial vendors. **Essential Functions**

+ Coordinates and executes custodial services for daily activities, special events, and game days; maintains and monitors custodial equipment inventory and oversees maintenance and repair of equipment such as floor machines, extractors, and vacuums; develops and implements floor care schedules and ensures timely execution.
+ Maintains accurate records of employee timecards, absences, work orders, and supply purchases; monitors and manages the custodial services budget; approves and manages custodial supply purchases and inventory.
+ Hires, trains, and provides ongoing feedback to custodial staff; plans and conducts safety and equipment training sessions; assesses training needs and develops curriculum and materials; tracks employee training and development activities. Due to the building specialists being exposed to bloodborne pathogens, ensure staff are trained, certified, and follow American Red Cross standards for cleaning and disposing of bodily fluids and other hazardous materials.
+ Serves as the primary point of contact for facility users regarding custodial services; addresses and resolves complaints or concerns related to custodial work; ensures clear communication of policies and procedures to all staff.
+ Responds to after-hours calls for emergencies, special events, and inclement weather; assesses and reports facility conditions during emergencies and advises leadership accordingly.
+ Conducts regular evaluations of custodial operations to identify efficiencies and areas for improvement; ensures compliance with safety standards and proper use of cleaning chemicals and techniques.
+ Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA ) and Southeastern Conference (SEC ) regulations in the performance of job duties.

**About The Role:**
As a CBRE Chief Building Engineer Supervisor, you will supervise the team responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading ongoing maintenance and repair operations for a facility, a campus, or a portfolio of buildings. Plan, implement, coordinate and handle all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development programs.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Lead the building's operational accounts and assists in development of operating and capital budgets.
+ Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
+ Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals! Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
+ Assist in operations and maintenance issues, fixing and problem solving as required.
+ Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance.
+ Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and develop/maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
+ Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians. Supervise all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
+ Respond to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns.
+ Establish and monitor programs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agency and company directives as relates to building operations.
+ Tracks the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching opportunities. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
+ Requires sophisticated knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.
