General Purpose: Supervises the use of the Community Center on a given shift, and assists in the planning, organizing, and implementation of community recreation programs for seniors, adults, and youth, including cultural arts, physical activities, special interest classes and summer programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

(A) Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent

(B) One year related experience including building supervision; or

(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience.

(D) Considerable knowledge of recreation philosophy, planning and administration; Considerable knowledge of the equipment, facilities, operations and techniques used in a comprehensive community recreation program;

(E) Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment; Skill in First Aid and CPR.(F) Ability to coordinate varied activities involved in a community recreation program; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, instructors, community leaders, and the general public; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on qualifications.

Schedule: Wednesday 4:30 pm-9:30 pm, Saturday alternating hours from 8am – 3:30pm and 3pm – 9:30pm, rotating Sundays as needed

The Riverside University Health System - Arlington Plant Operations Department is currently looking to fill a Building Maintenance Supervisor position in Riverside. Under direction, plans, directs and supervises skilled craftsperson's in a variety of building trades and operations work; assists in the development and scheduling of a maintenance and repair program for County buildings; performs other related duties as required.

The Building Maintenance Supervisor classification is characterized by the supervision of a variety of skilled trades and building operations personnel. Supervision received is largely administrative in nature. The supervisor will oversee plant operations daily preventive maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, including but not limited to : plumbing, carpentry, painting, hvac, and general repairs ; Plant Operations also coordinates with outside contractors for required testing of the fire alarm systems and all their components. • Assign, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the work of craftsperson's and other staff engaged in buildings and grounds maintenance and operations work.

• Discuss priorities and estimates with supervisor; routinely inspect buildings to identify maintenance needs; may prepare drawings, diagrams or schematics; check jobs for progress, proper use of materials and the quality of work.

• Train and instruct workers; instruct subordinates in safe work practices and procedures and inspect buildings for safety hazards; order materials for projects.

• Maintain and prepare records of personnel, materials and supplies used.

• May supervise work of custodial staff; may perform work in one or more building trades as necessary; may act for supervisor in his/her absence.

• Depending on assignment, may manage a security program for multiple departments within a department/agency.

• Depending on assignment, may evaluate installed security systems and procedures to ensure maximum staff protection; make reports recommending specific actions to improve security in cost effective and manageable ways.

• Depending on assignment, may manage the transportation program for a department/agency to ensure best utilization of vehicle assets. OPTION I Experience: Four years of journey level experience in a variety of skilled building maintenance work. (Experience in maintenance planning which involved estimating, scheduling and/or inspection of construction work may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.)

OPTION II Four years in a security regimen. (Experience in any of the following: corporate security program supervision, security consulting, military security responsibilities, or retail security equipment sales may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.)

ALL OPTIONS Knowledge of: Tools, materials, methods, and practices used in building operation and maintenance; safety regulations and building codes; building/property security standards, codes and regulations.

Ability to: Assign, schedule and supervise work; estimate amount of materials and time needed to complete jobs; read, explain blueprints, drawings, schematics, and related building plans.

**We're seeking a dedicated and proactive Athletic Building Services Supervisor to lead facility operations and ensure our athletic spaces are maintained to the highest standards-supporting excellence both on and off the field.**
This position responsible for leading and managing custodial operations across Auburn University's Athletic Department. This includes athletic buildings, stadiums, administrative units, auxiliary facilities, and oversight of third-party custodial vendors. This is a working supervisory role, requiring both leadership and hands-on custodial work in designated zones to ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and readiness for daily operations and events.
**Essential Functions**
+ Supervises, trains, and supports custodial staff in daily operations; provides hands-on custodial support as needed, including working independently in assigned zones; oversees third-party custodial vendors and ensures contract compliance; conducts regular inspections to ensure quality control, including floor care, custodial closets, and overall facility cleanliness.
+ Coordinates and executes custodial services for daily activities, special events, and game days; maintains and monitors custodial equipment inventory and oversees maintenance and repair of equipment such as floor machines, extractors, and vacuums; develops and implements floor care schedules and ensures timely execution.
+ Maintains accurate records of employee timecards, absences, work orders, and supply purchases; monitors and manages the custodial services budget; approves and manages custodial supply purchases and inventory.
+ Hires, trains, and provides ongoing feedback to custodial staff; plans and conducts safety and equipment training sessions; assesses training needs and develops curriculum and materials; tracks employee training and development activities. Due to the building specialists being exposed to bloodborne pathogens, ensure staff are trained, certified, and follow American Red Cross standards for cleaning and disposing of bodily fluids and other hazardous materials.
+ Serves as the primary point of contact for facility users regarding custodial services; addresses and resolves complaints or concerns related to custodial work; ensures clear communication of policies and procedures to all staff.
+ Responds to after-hours calls for emergencies, special events, and inclement weather; assesses and reports facility conditions during emergencies and advises leadership accordingly.
+ Conducts regular evaluations of custodial operations to identify efficiencies and areas for improvement; ensures compliance with safety standards and proper use of cleaning chemicals and techniques.
+ Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA ) and Southeastern Conference (SEC ) regulations in the performance of job duties.

Job duties include:
+ Plan, assign, review and evaluate work performed by cleaning personnel.
+ Interview and effectively recommend hires for work unit vacancies.
+ Team with another supervisor to conduct employment investigations.
+ Instruct employees on appropriate cleaning and safety procedures, work methods, work rules and other phases of cleaning work and ensure adherence to them.
+ Enforce safety policies and procedures.
+ Administer and evaluate a quality control program.
+ Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
+ Maintain time and attendance records on employees supervised.
+ Evaluate employees' job performance.
+ Control the use of supplies and equipment.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Janitorial experience with knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment sufficient to direct and train employees in appropriate cleaning methods and evaluate staff performance.
+ Supervisory experience that includes effectively giving verbal and written work instructions, directing, and mentoring subordinate staff, conducting discipline investigations, reviewing employee performance, working with clients and visitors, and performing duties with minimum supervision.
+ Position requires heavy use of arms and upper body and frequent bending and stooping when performing janitorial responsibilities.
+ Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Writing skills sufficient to organize and write an investigation report.
+ Previous experience as a building services supervisor with the State of Minnesota

**Physical Requirements**
