AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Civil Engineer to support mine tailings, geotechnical, and heavy civil infrastructure projects as part of the mining group to telecommute for our Denver, CO. office.
Job Summary/ Responsibilities:

Performs specific portions of broader projects under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Planning, implementing, and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time)

Developing geotechnical laboratory testing assignments

Join a dynamic team with Leidos as a Civil Engineering Specialist supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Infrastructure Engineering Center. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team, focusing on the design and engineering of critical infrastructure.
We are seeking motivated candidates with a background in Project Engineering and/or Resident Engineering, particularly those skilled in Civil Engineering Design with experience in tower, shelter, and similar structures.

Civil Engineering Specialist Primary Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the Navigation Engineering Center in developing project engineering packages.
Prepare summary trip reports within two working days of trip completion.
Compile and finalize project documentation.
Offer engineering support for new construction and renovation projects by evaluating shop drawings, design proposals, and ensuring adherence to contract documents.
Participate in Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI) for assigned projects, providing recommendations for resolution.
Conduct engineering studies to assess feasibility and perform cost-benefit analyses.
Advise the Government Technical Interpreter on planning, budgeting, programming, and coordinating engineering project development.
Develop project drawings following FAA standards and guidelines.
Civil Engineering Specialist Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience in Project Engineering and/or Resident Engineering, specifically in Civil Engineering Design with expertise in tower, shelter, and similar structure projects.
Familiarity with various Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities, including metal equipment towers, commercial/industrial structures, roof replacements, emergency power systems, and more.
Proficient in project management software (CWP, Primavera, Microsoft Project) and/or Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD, Microstation).
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.
Civil Engineering Specialist Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Familiarity with Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12 and National Airspace System Equipment Tower (NASET) standards.
Understanding of National Airspace System Equipment Building (NASEB) requirements and general construction techniques pertaining to HVAC, hazardous materials, and site work.

Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering students to join our Durham, North Carolina (NC), office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
-
Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.

Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
-
Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.

Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.

Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS
Qualifications

In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors:

Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
-
Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering

Engineering Technology
